Sources Say That Ticket Sales For UFC 176 Are at $800,000
Posted by Larry Csonka on 07.08.2014

According to MMAjunkie.com, a source close to the event says that the UFC 176 event has generated $800,000 in revenue from ticket sales. UFC officials have not commented on the rumored figures or the status of the event.

UFC 176 was going to be headlined by a featherweight title rematch between champ Jose Aldo and Chad Mendes, but Aldo was forced to withdraw due a neck and shoulder injury. While the UFC plans to still have that fight happen later, UFC 176 currently has no main event. Many felt that the event would be cancelled following the UFC 175 event, where they heavily hyped the main events for UFC 177 and UFC 178; but made no mention of UFC 176.
