Cage Warriors Lightweight Champion Stevie Ray Signs New Deal
Posted by Joseph Lee on 07.10.2014

MMA Junkie reports that Cage Warriors lightweight champion Stevie Ray (15-5) has signed a new five-fight deal with the promotion. This will extend his current contract by eighteen months.

Ray said: "I'm very happy to have signed a new deal with Cage Warriors and I'm really looking forward to defending my belt again. It's not going anywhere this time. I'll defeat anyone who steps in my way."

CEO Graham Boylan added: "We're very happy to have yet another one of our top fighters deciding to extend their stay with the promotion. I'm excited to see Stevie Ray begin his second spell as our lightweight world champion later this year."

Ray's next opponent and fight date have not been revealed. Eleven of his wins are by stoppage, including seven submissions.
