Conor McGregor Believes He Could Sell Out Irelandís Croke Park
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 07.16.2014

UFC featherweight fighters Conor McGregor recently discussed his upcoming main event bout against Diego Brandao at UFC Fight Night 46 and talked about being able to sell out Ireland's Croke Park stadium for the UFC in Ireland.

UFC Fight Night 46 is being held at Dublin's O2, which holds about 10,000 people. The outdoor Croke Park can seat around 80,000 people. When he was asked about fighting Parke's Northern Ireland, McGregor stated: "Let's get it straight: It's me that sells Croke Park out. But Norman's a great fighter. If the fight happens, the fight happens. But right now, I'm focused on featherweight gold, and I feel it's in my reach."

Responding to McGregor's comments, UFC executive Gerry Cook said: "Tickets went on sale and they sold in 25 minutes. I think Conor's absolutely right: We could've sold this 10 times over. Ö There's going to be a day here pretty soon where (a UFC event) is going to be at a stadium in Ireland."
