Wednesday's UFC Fight Night, featuring Donald Cerrone vs. Jim Miller in the main event, drew below average numbers on Fox Sports 1. According to The MMA Report, citing Nielson sources, the three hour main card attracted an average of 640,000 viewers. The preliminary card drew 415,000 viewers.
The main card number is in line with UFC's other Wednesday shows this year, while the preliminary card drew a better than usual number for a Wednesday. Weekend UFC shows generally receive much higher ratings than weekday shows.
Demographic ratings were not available, however the show failed to crack the top 100 cable shows in adults 18-49. Advertisers are attracted to UFC due to its usually strong ability to draw males 18-49, making those figures more important than the overall viewership number.
The leading sports program of the night was ESPN's telecast of the ESPY Awards, which drew 2.205 million viewers in the same time slot as UFC.
