It makes him angry in the cage…
- Andrey Koreshkov recently spoke about fans chanting USAS and more. Here are the highlights…
On Fans Chanting USA: "It doesn't bother me at all when I hear fans rooting against me and chanting ‘USA' during my fights. As a matter of fact, it does the exact opposite. When I hear fans booing me and chanting ‘USA,' it makes me angry. It makes me want to win my fight even more."
On Bouncing Back From His Loss to Ben Askren: "I had no idea what it felt like to lose before my fight with Ben Askren," Koreshkov said. "I felt a lot of pressure before that fight, and I ended up breaking down. I could not deal with the pressure at the time. But now that I have tasted defeat, I'm not afraid to lose anymore. It's a fight. It's OK. "Currently I don't experience that tremendous amount of psychological pressure that I used to deal with. I am a lot more comfortable inside the cage, and you saw the result of that over my last two fights. I don't feel that pressure anymore. It's gone. I am a lot more confident now."
On Facing Adam McDonough: "Adam McDonough is undefeated and he's a really good fighter," Koreshkov said. "From watching his fights, I've noticed that he has a really good left hand. He likes to use his left hook and left uppercut a lot. He also has good leg kicks and good ground and pound and top position on the ground. He's the full package. He's very dangerous and I'm completely prepared for that."
