It's his dream...
An MMA fighter who saved a co-worker from getting robbed by three men says that his dream is to fight in the UFC. TMZ spoke with Mayura Dissanyake, who was the subject of a viral video in which he attacked three men in defense of a co-worker who was getting robbed outside of the Fuel Depot. Mayura is hoping that his new high profile can parlay into work with the UFC.
"I want to make it to the UFC," said Dissankayke. "That is my dream ... the whole reason I moved to the States."
Dana White told TMZ that he "loved" the video and considers the Sri Lankan fighter a hero. Dissanyake says he's training five days a week for his next fight, which is in Houston next month. He said that Fuel Depot lets him work around his MMA schedule.
He added, "The policy [at Fuel Depot] is ... if someone steals something, I'm told to not chase after them. But in this instance it wasn't someone stealing something, it was my friend who was in trouble. I had to help."
