Will Brooks and Pat Curran comment on the change...
MMAjunkie spoke with various Bellator fighters about the promotion's recent changes, including potentially getting rid of the tournament format. Check out the highlights:
Will Brooks on the changes being made to Bellator: "Give it a year, maybe two years, and Bellator is going to look something completely different than what we're used to seeing."
Pat Curran on getting rid of the tournament format: "Because I've already been through two tournaments (at lightweight and featherweight), I'm kind of happy the tournament format is gone. Just because I don't want to go through one. At the same time, the Bellator format built me and made me the fighter that I am today."
Curran on how tournament elimination will affect fighters: "For up and coming fighters, it's going to affect them a little bit. But for me, as a champion, I've decided I want to stay champion for a long time. So I'm not worried about going back through another tournament."
