Bellator Gets Back Into Women’s MMA – Signs Marloes Coenen and Julia Budd
Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.14.2014

- Bellator Fighting Championships announced today, via press release, that they are officially re-launching their women's division. Along with that announcement, was the signing of two featherweight fighters, Marloes Coenen (21-6) and Julia Budd (6-2). Bellator President Scott Coker has the following to say about the announcement…

"We're incredibly excited to bring in two of the best athletes competing in our sport today. We are making a commitment to bring back the female division to Bellator, and feature some of the world's best in the Bellator cage."

Marloes Coenen and Julia Budd will face off later this year on Bellator TV.The news is very interesting, especially with the rumors from earlier this week that Bellator was trying to sign Gina Carano.
