#1 in his memory...
Tim Boetsch spoke with MMAjunkie after his win over Brad Tavares at UFC Fight Night 47. Check out the highlights:
On turning the fight around: "There was a sense of urgency, but I knew all I had to do was (hit him) with my right hand, and the game would change drastically."
On the fight being his biggest yet: "I've had some big wins in the past, but this win in Bangor definitely is No. 1 in my memory. It was awesome, just knowing the entire arena was behind me. I definitely wanted to leave it all the cage, and I definitely think I did that."
On unleashing "The Barbarian": "That's just something that's in there. I'm glad it came out when it did, and I finished him off. You can't focus on (the bout being in your hometown). I have the task at hand, and I knew that once I got rolling, I was going to run him over."
On Tavares: "He was working his position and working great technique, but this is fighting, it can change fast. I got back to my roots, and honestly, you see the results. I might be a little bit battered and bloody, but I got my hand raised at the end, and that's what matters in this game."
