Later this year...
MMA Fighting reports that Bellator President Scott Coker said that welterweights Paul Daley (34-13-2) and Melvin Manhoef (28-11-1 1 NC) could fight against each other later this year.
He said: "Paul, pending his September 12th fight in London, if he's okay, we're going to be fighting him in November here in America. I can tell you the fight I'd like to put together. We had a conversation with Melvin Manhoef about dropping down in weight, so I'd like to put Manhoef vs. Daley together. So if [Manhoef] doesn't get hurt, Paul doesn't get hurt, we'll put that fight together."
Manhoef will fight Doug Marshall at Bellator 125 on September 19. Daley will fight Igor Fernandes on September 12 at BAMMA 16, the last fight of his BAMMA contract. Both have almost a 100 combined MMA and kickboxing knockouts between them. Manhoef won his only fight this year by knocking out Evangelista Santos in 46 seconds. Daley beat Artem Mironcev last week, increasing his 2014 kickboxing record to 5-0 (all by KO/TKO).
