UFC 180 in Mexico Officially Sold Out

The event sold out in eight hours…
The UFC has announced in an official press release that the fight promotion's debut event in Mexico, UFC 180, is now sold out. The event sold over 20,000 tickets in eight hours.
The upcoming fight card is set for November 15 at the Mexico City Arena in Mexico City, Mexico. The fight is set to be headlined by a heavyweight title bout with reigning champion Cain Velasquez facing top contender Fabricio Werdum.
Per the UFC, UFC 180 will set a new attendance record for the arena with over 20,000 fans set to attend the event. Speaking on the announcement, UFC SVP International Development and General Manager of Latin America, Jaime Pollack, stated: "That we've sold out in the blink of an eye is proof that Mexico is ready for its first UFC event and shows the true devotion of UFC's fan base. We couldn't ask for a better partner in Zignia Live, who provided the staffing and technology to keep pace with the high demand and ensure a seamless experience from UFC fans in Mexico and around the region."
UFC 180 will be broadcast live on PPV on November 15.
