Cage Warriors 74 Set for November 15
Posted by Jeffrey Harris on 08.30.2014

Cage Warriors has announced some details and the headliner for the upcoming CWFC 74 fight card. The event is set for Saturday, november 15 at the Copper Box Arena in London's Olympic Park.

The fight card will be headlined by a women's bantamweight title bout to crown the inaugural Cage Warriors women's bantamweight champion. Pannie Kianzad will face Agnieszka Niedzwiedz for the title bout.

Speaking on the announcement, Kianzad stated, "I'm really proud and excited to be fighting to become the first ever Cage Warriors women's bantamweight world champion." She added, "I'll be looking to represent my team as best I can, and I look forward to putting on an exciting fight in London in November."

Niedzwiedz said on the fight: "Pannie Kianzad is a very good fighter and I may need the two extra rounds to stop her. We've both earned this chance and we'll show everyone some world-class women's MMA in London. We're both young and determined, but I'm younger and more determined. Pannie, you asked for this fight, and I'm looking forward to showing you how much of a mistake that was."

Cage Warriors CEO Graham Boylan added on the fight promotion making its debut at the Copper Box Arena: "After a number of sell-out London events at The Forum in Kentish Town over the past couple of years, we're excited to be bringing Cage Warriors to the Copper Box. The card for Cage Warriors 74 is going to be something special, but I'm really looking forward to seeing Pannie and Agnieszka fight to make history as our first women's bantamweight champion. They're two worthy contenders but one of them is set to taste defeat for the first time on November 15. The eyes of the MMA world will be on this one and I can't wait for it."
