New Fighters Being Considered For Lesnar/K-1 Main Event
Posted by Ashish on 05.24.2007

With Hong Man Choi unlikely to get clearance to fight Brock Lesnar at the 6/2 K-1 Dynamite show in Los Angeles, show promoters FEG are already considering other potential opponents for Lesnar. Four names being considered are Tank Abbott, Butterbean, Ruben Villareal, and James Thompson.

Abbott has already said he would do the fight if asked. He and Butterbean would likely bring the most marquee name value. Thompson is somewhat of a question mark due to his unclear status with PRIDE.

Obviously Lesnar's side would have to approve a new opponent as well.

As reported earlier, the entire show is in a bit of a tough situation since the majority of the scheduled fighters have yet to be cleared by the California State Athletic Commission.
