Deemed "mentally unfit to fight" in California...
GracieFighter.com has posted some interesting news regarding "Godzilla".
Gabe Ruediger, most well known to the MMA public from his appearances on The Ultimate Fighter Season 5, has been barred from competing in California. This includes being barred from Saturday's K-1/Pro Elite event in which Ruediger was on tap to compete against Katsuhiko Nagata, according to GracieFighter (most outlets have had Isaiah Hill scheduled to face Nagata). Ruediger was apparently released from his UFC contract following his exit from the TUF 5 season and planned to pursue fighting in other organizations.
California State Athletic Commissioner, Armando Garcia, dropped Ruediger from the card after viewing Ruediger on The Ultimate Fighter on Spike TV. Garcia's viewing of the show apparently led to his decision that Ruediger was "mentally unfit to fight".
