UFC News: Couture Breaks Arm, SPIKE Releases The Ultimate Fighter Cast
Posted by Larry Csonka on 08.27.2007

-Randy Couture sustained a broken arm Saturday blocking a Gabirel Gonzaga right high kick with his left forearm. The break cleanly separating the ulna bone with what is described as a "nightstick fracture," this is a break common in law enforcement. The injury has placed the UFC heavyweight champion's arm in a splint for up to six weeks with the good news being that the appendage will not need a cast.

-Spike TV has released the roster for Season Six of "The Ultimate Fighter," which will debut Wednesday the 19th at 11 p.m. EST/PST. The roster consists of:

Matt Arroyo, Daniel Barrera, Blake Bowman, Mac Danzig, Paul Georgieff, Richie Hightower, John Kolsci, Troy Mandaloniz, Billy Miles, Roman Mitichyan, Dorian Price, Jared Rollins, Ben Saunders, Joe Scarola, George Sotiropoulis, and Tommy Speer.

The 16-competitors will all battle for a six-figure contact with the UFC as they all live in the same house and train on teams led by UFC Welterweight Champion Matt Serra and former champ Matt Hughes. This year the series will air on its new night of Wednesday's at 10pm EST.
