Randy Couture Speaks On UFC Legal Situation, Fighting Rampage Jackson, And A New MMA Video Game

Randy Couture recently conducted an interview with IGN.com and spoke on numerous subjects such as his current legal status with the UFC, the possible fight with Fedor, and a possible MMA video game made by EA featuring Couture:

On his current legal status with the UFC:

"At this point, I'm just waiting on the declaration from the state of the Nevada, hopefully the wheels of the legal system turn in the next couple of weeks so I can get out of this UFC contract and get down to fighting Fedor [Emelianenko]."

If Fedor signed with the UFC, would Randy come back to fight him:

"As long as the fight happens, I don't particularly care where that is. I presented every opportunity for [the UFC] to step up and participate in that fight, but if they came around and found a way to facilitate things…I don't care where the fight happens."

Is he still currently training as an active fighter should:

"I've been very active training and helping my guys get ready for fights, learning new skills and new jiu-jitsu techniques. It's all about continuing your growth as a fighter, and I think I'm still doing that."

Would he ever consider a fight against Quinton "Rampage" Jackson:

"Rampage is a 205-pounder, I'm pretty comfortable being a heavyweight and walking around at 225. I've trained a lot with Rampage, he's a great guy, but I guess anything's possible."

On why he hasn't appeared on any of the UFC's video games:

"I wouldn't waive my rights, so they yanked me from the game, and I'm not in the new version. I'm pursuing trying to do a video game of my own which I'm talking to EA about. I'm going to show up in Command and Conquer as a general, in a theatrical version of the video game they're doing now, and hopefully that will be the first step towards a video game with EA featuring me!"
