Posted by Dustin James on 05.19.2008

Cheick Kongo has announced via his blog that he will be facing Dan Evensen at UFC 87 in August. Evensen is currently 10-2 as a pro, and will be making his UFC debut at the event. Kongo is coming off a decision loss to Heath Herring at UFC 82.

UFC 87 is expected to be headlined by Brock Lesnar vs. Mark Coleman. It will also feature Kenny Florian vs. Roger Huerta.

Cheick Kongo vs Dan who? Oh yeah, I forgot....The UFC brings in only the best fighters to compete in their organization. If this is going to become a trend, I'll turn my attention to other MMA organizations for real entertainment.

He won his last 4 bouts within round 4? How about you see him fight before you talking about this.
