Frank Trigg and Jay Glazer bid us farewell. And the first Affliction PPV is in the books.
There sure seems to be an excessive amount of empty seats in the building, especially around ringside, which is not a good indication for the financial success of this show. I don't want to hear about the lack of marketing for the show. I just returned from NYC and saw the Affliction Banned banner covering 3 buildings in the heart of Times Square. I hope they make up for it on PPV.
Posted By: John Curry (Registered) on July 19, 2008 at 08:15 PM
Tell me how many empty seats there are for the main Curry...it's a little early at this point to make that call
Posted By: romano (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 08:49 PM
I agree Romano. I am hoping it is standing room only by the end of the night. Any company who can bring Fedor to the US I want to see succeed. I was making an observation. Did you see the same thing?
Posted By: John Curry (Registered) on July 19, 2008 at 09:06 PM

Posted By: romano (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 11:47 PM

Posted By: worm (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 11:52 PM
I hope you saw what the Spider just did.
Posted By: Guest#8182 (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 11:53 PM
"I hope dana saw what arlovski just did"
Exactly. I can't believe that the UFC would just let him go like that. Definitely a top ten heavyweight.
Posted By: Guest (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 11:55 PM
Honestly, I was starting to wonder why I ordered this...but Barnett's right and Arlovski's just dirty dirty mugging of Rothwell were fantastic to this point.
Posted By: ICTimer (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 11:55 PM
Announcing celebrities is lame....
Posted By: Guest#4093 (Guest) on July 19, 2008 at 11:57 PM
Anyone think the dark lights on the Affliction show are hiding the sparse audience attendance?

If I had to make a choice between seeing Megadeth and Fedor/Sylvia, I would go with Fedor/Sylvia. Nothing against Megadeth but it really doesn't add much to the show.
Posted By: Guest (Guest) on July 20, 2008 at 12:04 AM
Here comes the biggest match of the year. Well, to me anyway. I hope Fedor wins decisively.
Posted By: Guest (Guest) on July 20, 2008 at 12:11 AM
