UFC Already Done With Jesse Taylor?
Posted by Dustin James on 07.21.2008

During an interview last Thursday, former Ultimate Fighter contestant Jesse Taylor may have ruffled a few feathers within the UFC with his comments towards Quinton "Rampage" Jackson's recent run-in with the law. Apparently Taylor said "What goes around, comes around, I guess." in regards to the comments that Rampage had made to Dana White about his concerns with how Taylor would represent the UFC. However, on Friday, Taylor seemingly backtracked a little with his comments:

"I feel bad for the guy. Being on top of the fighting world and then not being there is going to destroy you. I think it was tough to handle for the guy. I wish he gets better, I didn't know he was in this situation. He's in a lot worse situation than I was in."

UFC management is said to be very angry with Taylor's first comment about Jackson. Rampage is very tight with management and is not a guy you want to make negative public comments about. Don't be surprised if Taylor is released this week.

I actually thought the same thing as Jesse's initial comments when I heard the news about Rampage.

can't blame jesse for this one. i love rampage but i hate this dana's little boy toy bullshit. jesse fucked up hardcore thats no doubt, but when he was brought in, rampage's dig was unnecessary and no more than that. just a mean dig at one of forrest's fighters. rampage doesn't care about how jesse represents the ufc and that comment was in no way a legit concern of his. the sole purpose of that comment was to take a shot at an already hurting (and crying) guy. then to top it off rampage goes and does something 10 times worse than what jesse did and you expect jesse to not say something?!?! Christ i can't believe thats all jesse said. what goes around comes around is a 100% truthful and appropriate statement for jesse to make and fuck dana white in favorite playing ass if he cuts jesse taylor for this. cut the guy for being a loose cannon or for being boring but not for this BS.

Im not one of those Dana bashers, and I am also a fan of Rampage, BUT JT Money has the right to say that. When Taylor did stupid shit Rampage did comment on it, now the foot is on the other shoe. Obviously Jesse isnt the talent that Rampage is so Dana is going to kiss his ass. But like the saying goes, you can take the nigger out of the jungle, but cant take the jungle out of the nigger.

I think Dana should wake up and realize the negative impact this is having on the UFC. I loved the UFC and I am just shocked that more people are concerned with Rampage then with the people he hit and crimes that he commited... Rumor has it he side swiped a 16 week pregnant woman! People are worried about Rampage? I don't care if he was up on whatever, that type of behavior is not acceptable. Does the UFC not do mental evaluations for their fighters? What about for hosting the Ultimate Fighter? People are saying the fame got to him... If the average joe did this they would be in prison for a long time and no one would care whether or not they were up "doing some crazy fasting thing"... He should never be allowed back into the UFC.

How I see this panning out is: Rampage will claim insanity on the charges. Get probation, and be back in the UFC by next year.

Poor Rampage. Whatever. Doesn't take a genius to know not to run from the police or leave the scene of the accident. If he truly is that insane then that also makes my point that he should never be aloud back into the UFC.

Dana wake up! FYI its not like there is not other options for MMA Fighting. Fedor anyone?

Like someone else said, no big loss. Taylor doesn't have much to offer the UFC right now other than potential embarrassment. Maybe some time spent in the "minors" will mature the guy.

And what's the deal with Champ's post? That shit actually gets through? I thought 411 moderated all comments. I know I have had posts not go through before and they at least did not contain racist bullshit.

And that goes double for uncivilized pieces of trash like yourself.
