So Silva drew an additional 700,000 viewers for his fight? And people say he is not marketable....HA!

inflated ! And once again please explain to me why the wrestling observer is covering anything MMA ?!

The UFC event was horrible ! Even the short lived main event was expected !

Sorry news flash everyone was watching Affliction:Banned

shenanigans i wanna see where these ratings are coming from !!

Number one reason affliction will never be as good as the UFC, is it's in a ring!

Why on earth would they have a ring? It makes no sense to have a ring in MMA.

You're an idiot.

Dave Meltzer, the only person that could legitimately call himself a reporter in pro-wrestling, has been focusing primarily on MMA for over 5 years. He writes most of the mainstream coverage of MMA, including being the main reporter for MMA on Yahoo Sports. He also happens to have started the Wrestling Observer, so that's where the news often technically comes from. It should actually say credit: Dave Meltzer, who is more credible than Sherdog, MMAWeekly or any single website or reporter on the sport.

I prefer a cage because the resets really kill the fight for me.

I watched Fight Night and thought it was a good show ;). Granted, I live in Canada so it adds nothing to those numbers heh.

Meltzer is a putz always has always will. Been reading his crap for years he always makes mistakes and can be really biased at times. With that said he's still better than most. But I still take his opinions with a grain of salt. He is one of the reasons I came over to 411 so many years ago.

Meltzer has been covering MMA since UFC 1

I have given every organization a chance and have read after watching on his reports and have found a pretty good read about them here. Second I thought the UFC did a hell of a job considering most of the people in the affliction were not really top class there are more fighters coming out a reality show showing more heart then some of them. On the ring vs cage if I wanted a ring I would just watch boxing or a rerun of Pride or hell atleast watch Judo over the ring...atleast they get right back into the fighting.
