Fedor Emelianenko To Face Andrei Arlovski In October?

Randy Couture doesn't look to be in Fedor's future......
The French website, fightsport.fr, is reporting that Fedor Emelianenko could end up facing former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski at the next Affliction show. In the article, Fedor mentions that the next Affliction show is set for November, but he has asked to move the card up to October so he has time to train for a New Year's Eve fight with DREAM (possibly against Mirko Cro Cop). Fedor also mentions that he would like to face Josh Barnett in early-2009. Affliction won't make anything final until they figure out the contract status of Randy Couture.
Great by the time the overated one Randy gets to fight him he will be 50.

Andrei Arlovski is good but come one ! He lost to Tim Sylvia 2 out of 3 ( yes i hate it too ) but he did ! Period !
Fedor gains nothing by beating him or even taking this fight ! Barrett isn't even ranked in the Top 10 for heavyweights IMO -so fedor fighting him proives nothing !
All this is doing is giving fighters that aren't of worthy RANK wise a chance at beating a the ranked #1 guy in MMA !!
Couture needs to shit of gewt off the pot - if he wants Fedor so bad fight tthe 2 fights that is obligated !! He signed the fucking dotted line with the UFC , get the fights over with !!!
They already offered Big Nog and he refused so that fight could have already happened by now ! Leaving him 1 away from finishing his contract !! To fight Fedor !
Im a huge Randy fan but man now i'm just getting pissed off !!
Something needs to happen and so or everyone will lose interest !

This will actually be better than a Randy/Fedor match in my opinion. We all know how well Randy did against the Iceman, and Fedor would do the same.Well Randy fans, at least you got the Scorpion King 2 coming out on DVD next week.

This is awesome news and I will actually buy this event. Look, Arlovski may have lost the series to Sylvia, but a)that has been awhile b) we all know that styles make fights &c) Andrei has went on to defeat everyone in his path since that series without controversey. I would love this match up.

He's gone 1-1 with Big Nog and has a win over A.Emelianenko. Just because CroCop has his number doesn't mean anything. Just as Liddell can beat Randy, Silva can beat Franklin... yet find me a list which Randy or Franklin aren't top 10.
He's lost to only 3 fighters in his career- CroCop, Nogueira, and Rizzo. Not a bad list of fighters to lose against- and he's gone 1-1 with 2 of them.

Barnett won a split decision to nog in 06 and it was a boring stand up ! Nog came back and beat him via Unanimous decision 3 months later in 06 !!

Thats just it Fedor has fought everybody they have thrown at him ! Regardless of being in the top 10 or not ! I think thats his whole point Fedor shouldn't be fighting guys that aren't in the Top 10
but i will answer that for you Crcop . Mark Hunt, Nogeria , Matt Linland ( lbs for Lbs the best LH in the business and moved up in weight and came pretty dame close to beating Fedor ! )

s great as i like Andre ' ! It took him 3 full rounds to put Ben Rothwell away !
He has lost to Tim Sylvia twice ! Once by KO ! and the other to a bore-fest decision loss!
He still hasn't avenged his loss to Rizzo or Rico "fat ass" Rodriguez
Sorry he hasn't fought anybody in the last year to deserve a title shoot with Fedor ! His last to fights were untelevised cause they were so boring !
And i like Andre -he's a great fighter but i won't by bias ! He's a on and off fighter period !
