EliteXC Confirms Next CBS Show For October 4
Posted by Dustin James on 07.27.2008

ProElite Head of Fight Operations Jeremy Lappen has confirmed that the next "EliteXC on CBS" card will go down on October 4 at the BankAtlantic Center near Fort Lauderdale, Florida. He also confirmed that both Kimbo Slice and Gina Carano will be apart of the event. Carano could end up facing either Cristiane Cyborg (who defeated Shayna Baszler last night via second round TKO) or Kelly Kobald in a fight that could determine the promotion's first women's champion. An opponent for Kimbo Slice has yet to be determined.

well it plan obvious Elite XC aren't going to honor their promise and allow
Brett Rogers to fight Kimbo !

Gary Shaw said it would happen so either he "as usual " spit more bS or the CBS big wigs that are now in full control i believe are trying to protect their asset !

Kimblow is a joke and will be exposed once he fights Brett Rogers !

Yea Kimbo is a joke and I cant wait until he fights someone legit. That last guy looks mildly retarded.

I doubt they will give us Cyborg vs Crush so soon, theyll prolly give Gina the belt and then start promoting the big fight. I hope she spends more time training so when she gets beat she has no excuse.

EXC never promised a Rogers vs. Slice match. It was Rogers who wanted the fight but it was never given the ok.

it's obvious kimbo and rogers aren't going to fight. U believe that Kimbo will be ready to fight Rogers in THREE months...No way it's gonna happen. Kimbo better cut out weed, liquor, pussy, fatty foods, and find Jesus if he wants to even compete with Rogers

I agree that Kimbo is a joke in the world of MMA but boxing he ain't no joke. Rogers wants to be the guy who knocks out Kimbo. If he goes toe to toe with Kimbo he will get knocked the PHUCK OUT!

If Rogers takes it to the ground Kimbo will lose that's a no brainer.

Win or Lose Kimbo has always been pretty humble bout his wins.

Did anyone else find it strange that the UFC has been in lawsuits with EliteXC and even decided to air UFC 84 on free tv to compete with EliteXC, but yet let their top star in the company, middleweight champion Anderson Silva, attend the show and even appear on TV? And then the EliteXC commentary team gives the guy a verbal blowjob saying he's the best pound-for-pound fighter in the world.

Maybe I'm just use to wrestling where mentioning "that other company" is taboo, but last night seemed very odd. I was honestly expecting to come onto 411 today and be entertained by the conspiracy theories regarding Dana White actually owning EliteXC.

Kimbo is ok, not great. Once Kimbo actually is put with some all round fighters, he will be exposed and beaten.

One thing besides the names that are going to help is an expected bump from college football, which draws well. They better not leave 8pm open to 48 Hours.

Dude fuck Kimbo. The fight against Thompson was fixed.

Gina Carano is in the next CBS Elite XC show. Well count me in on watching it. However this time she will be ready, unlike last time were she didn't have enough time to train due to the reacordings of American Gladiators. But the season is almost over, and with that much spare time she will be in great shape and ready to fight.
