Wanderlei Silva Told He Could Be Fighting In December

Silva's next fight could be this winter......
During a recent appearance on TAGG Radio, Wanderlei Silva announced that he was told he could be fighting again this coming December:
"I'm talking with (UFC co-owner) Lorenzo (Fertitta), they're talking about December because it is the best event of the year. (Antonio Rodrigo) Nogueira is going to fight (Frank) Mir for the belt for the heavyweights.
This is the best event. It's much more promotion. They told me to be ready to fight in December.
They gave me 10 (possible) names. My division is the best division in the world. They have so many names. I think they're going to give a good opponent to me."
Silva also mentioned that he would like to face Quinton "Rampage" Jackson again. Silva currently holds two victories over Rampage.
Given that he wasn't even scratched in his fight against Jardine, the UFC could have easily had him fight sooner and fight again in December... It just seems a long time in between fights for us fans to watch the Axe Murderer..

yeah, that's what rampage needs...another beatdown to mess with his already fragile mental state. And it would be a beatdown...i love rampage but, silva has his number all day, everyday...octagon or ring, frontyard or backyard.

I'd like to see him face Forest, for the title, at some point and Machida as I think Lyota actually has the right skillset to control Wanderlei. But otherwise I really think he should drop down to middleweight. He's got the body for it, it would give the division another big name and a future Silva vs Silva fight could be great.

Why would this guy fight Griffin? He lost to Lidell. Give him Vera and let him fight the winner of Evans/Lidell.

He has to fight Machida plain and simple .
Wandy vs Machida with the winner taking Griffin.....
As for Jackson, if he was in the same shape and form (mentally and physically) than the one he got facing both Liddell and Henderson, he would total MURDERER The Axe Murderer.....
Though a fetus murderer does belong behind bars.....jail ones not an octagon.....
