CSAC Says Aleksander Emelianenko Will Never Fight In The United States

Fedor's brother banned from fighting in the United States?
The California State Athletic Commission's Bill Douglas recently appeared on the Figure Four Daily radio show and mentioned that it's highly unlikely that Aleksander Emelianenko will ever fight in the state of California or for that matter the United States:
"The one thing that I can absolutely say is that he (Aleksander) was not and will not be cleared to fight in California. He is officially licensed denied and that will stand for all of the United States of America".
No reason was given as to why his license was denied, however rumors were circulating that Emelianenko had tested positive for Hepatitis B. Due to the health and privacy rules in the state of California, Douglas was not allowed to confirm or deny these rumors.
Wow that stinks. Especially if its because of hepatitis B. His career is basically done if thats the case.

If he does have Hep B his career will be over. Just like when Tommy Morrison was misdiagnosed with having HIV. No one wants to catch that so no one would want to fight them even if some commission okayed it.

No, the CSAC doesn't have legal jurisdiction for any area outside the US, but their ruling is still more then strong enough to make sure he never fights again.... anywhere.
With the CSAC saying he'll never be able to fight in the US, it all but blatantly states it's because he's a health risk. With that being the case, even if he were to only fight outside the US- any fighter he fought would also be stuck fighting outside the US... and so on and so forth.
Even if he's able to find other fighters willing to accept the possible health risks, he's not likely to find many that would be willing to give up their careers.

I think it has more to do with his criminal conviction for armed robbery in Russia. He is free to basically fight anywhere but the U.S

well just because its Hepititus B or A OR C does not mean they cant cure it they have cures for rich people in europe that cure that stuff in like less then 2 weeks or 6 months to a Year with the stuff thats in the united states so ethir way since hes rich its no big deal he can cure it

If it had to do with his criminal past, they would say so. Him spending some time in jail is public knowledge... his medical records aren't.

Both Aleks and his doctor said the hep B rumor is not true. It was said long before the fight that Aleks wont be allowed to fight in the US because he is a convicted felon with links to organized crime..

Either way being banned from fighting in the US is not a good thing on your record because anyone who fights him outside the US is hurting there own chances of fighting in the US too.
