Chris Leben Fails Drug Test

He’s out 9-months…
- Chris Leben has tested positive for Stanazolol in a test administered by UFC on October 18th in Birmingham, England, the day of his fight with Michael Bisping. Leben has been suspended for nine months by the UFC and fined one-third of his purse. Leben admitted using the drug but said it was months back and thought it would have cleared his system.
- The UFC shows in the UK are not governed by an athletic commission, so the Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for the company, Marc Ratner, who had years of experience as the head of the Nevada commission, oversees the event and does many of the jobs that an athletic commission would do.
Leben admitted using the drug but said it was months back and thought it would have cleared his system.
so its ok because you thought you wouldnt get caught

What an idiot, he stops drinking and starts using steroids. This will severely derail him, he has no shot of ever getting the MW title now. He'll be 29 by the time he comes back and there are about 10 guys in the UFC MW division that are better then him.

It was obvious that he was on the drug and it probably wasn't months back like Leben said it was either. His conditioning was at an all time high, he was bone dry and looked very low in body fat. Leben has never been the guy known for his physique, but in England, he looked a little better than Bisbing. There seems to be a hand full of MMA guys failing drug testing lately.

Nothing wrong with steroids. They should be legalized. A drug that helps improve the athletes:O Wow how terrible.
Oh but it kills people.. even though no one has EVER died from using it. Oh well.

i'm not really for them or against them but if anyone's intrested you should check out "Bigger, Faster, Stronger" it's a really funny, well made documentary about everything dealing with steroids & it's very informational & objective. It's out on DVD & I learned a TON.

This guy is the biggest DOUCH!! No one has ever died from steroids?? Let me tell you something buddy that steroids often associates itself to heart attacks, liver problems and much more.
I personally have seen the effects it has friends and other weight lifters in the gym I go to. Hence the reason why it's ILLEGAL!!!!!
Steroid performance comes at a price, it's about keeping our athletes healthy.

I love how steroid use is still such a shocking topic in the world of sports. Steroid use is like underage drinking, it happens EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME, there are those like Chris Leben who unfortunately get caught.
