Gina Carano Headed To The WEC?

Dana White is thinking about it....
During a recent stop in Toronto for the UFC 94 press tour, UFC President Dana White confirmed that Zuffa may be interested in EliteXC veteran Gina Carano:
"Gina Carano is a star, and I think she's talented. I think she has all the tools, so what I'm willing to do is bring Gina into the WEC. We could do fights whenever there's a challenge for Gina. That's how I'll test the waters and see how it goes."
White (who in the past has blasted women's MMA) has confirmed that he may be interested in seeing Carano vs. Cris "Cyborg" Santos in the WEC in the near future.
Dana, make it happen. Women's MMA needs to see this happen. There may not be as much talent as men's MMA, but in time it might be just a good as it.
I Still agree with him that women will never fight in the UFC. It has always been an organization that is men's MMA. WEC seems like a better if anyways.

Makes sense for the UFC. Keeps Carano off anybody else's show, gives WEC a boost by having her around and if UFC decide to start promoting women's MMA then they'll already have a division of fighters under contract to work with.

plus it makes wec look like a true alternative to the ufc, even though they are owned by zuffa

GREAT IDEA TO START WITH FINALLY DANA!!
In all honesty, some of the women's fights were more entertaining to watch than the men's. This can definitely turn on the ratings for the WEC.

Fedor lost this past weekend in a Sambo fight. Why is noone talking about this?

Because this section is about MMA.

Samer,
Yes this is an mma section, and the sambo loss does tie into it. Why won't Dana sign Fedor? A few reasons, one of which is that he refuses exclusivity. This sambo loss over the weekend proves that anything can happen (really who would've bet against Fedor?) and that Dana has merit in wanting exclusivity from his top fighters. Just think, some company could be out their making a name for themselves by saying "my guy beat the current UFC heavyweight champ!" right now if Fedor had been signed to a non-exclusive contract. That basically equates to the shift of all the entire internet fanboy legion to say that Fedor is a joke now and this new guy is the shit and this new organization is better than the UFC and yaddayaddayadda.

Finally Dana, women's MMA is the best thing ever. Gina Carano will finally face Cyborg. Gina will win.

wait, isnt she the one that claims that she doesn't like the fame she's getting from MMA and the one who seems to not make weight most of the time? Seems like liability to me, Dana. However, if it starts to have Women's MMA in the big leagues, then so be it.
