I have the feeling that Diego may just have what it takes to beat BJ Penn at lightweight. His tough chin and relentless attacks could overcome Penn's lack of cardio and the match could go in the same direction as Hughes/Penn II. I think Diego recognizes that and believes it's his best chance of winning a title. This could at least give Diego an excuse to go back to Greg Jackson's camp and train with GSP.
