WEC Releases Alexandre “Pequeno” Nogueira

During a recent interview with Tatame.com, Alexandre "Pequeno" Nogueira announced that he has been released by the WEC. Nogueira lost via TKO to Jose Aldo at WEC 34 back in June in his only fight with the company. He was then issued a one-year suspension by the CSAC for doping. Nogueira is hoping to compete with Sengoku once his suspension is up on May 31:
"I'm negotiating with my manager (Alex Davis). We're focusing Sengoku, to come back to fight in Japan. The [WEC] contract was finished because of the suspension. I'll come back to fight only in the next year, because now I'm focused more in my athletes."
