Josh Neer Still On The Card For Fight Night 17

The lightweight bout between Josh Neer and Mac Danzig is still slated for Fight Night 17 on February 7th. The fight had been called into question after Neer's New Year's Eve arrest in Des Moines, IA. The confirmation comes from a statement issued by KO Dynasty Sports Management (who represents Neer) and their CEO Mickey Dubberly.
"Josh will be fighting Mac Danzig February 7th in the co-main event in Tampa as scheduled. Josh has been training very hard for this fight, and is looking forward to putting on a great fight for the UFC and fans. Josh would like to once again thank his family, fans, friends, training partners, UFC, and everyone that has supported him thru his career."
While Neer's management has confirmed his involvement, the UFC has yet to make an official statement regarding Neer and his future in the octagon.
Fight Night 17 airs live on Spike on February 7th. The card will be headlined by another lightweight clash between Hermes Franca and Joe Lauzon.
