Sean Sherk vs. Frank Edgar At UFC 98

Two top lightweight contenders will collide...
Sources close to Sean Sherk have confirmed that "The Muscle Shark" will face Frank Edgar at UFC 98. The show is currently scheduled for May 23 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The lightweight contest is expected to be featured on the main broadcast.
Both fighters are coming off of "Fight of the Night" performances in their last outings. Sherk won a unanimous decision against Tyson Griffin at UFC 90, while Edgar picked up a unanimous decision win over Hermes Franca at Fight Night 14.
UFC 98 has not yet been officially announced by the UFC, but it's currently rumored that the Undisputed UFC Heavyweight Championship bout between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir could headline the event.
Hell they dont have to add anything to that card and I would buy it. Maybe a guy from TUF or some shit.

If this is what we're getting for 98 then they must have something HUGE in the works for 100. Fedor and Couture maybe? ;-)

Now, I don't wanna be THAT guy, but didn't this site, along with others, report that Roger Huerta's last fight would be against Sherk at UFC 97? No way would Sherk be able to fight one UFC later. Hell, I had him losing to Roger as well.

if this fight takes place, i'd put my money on sherk winning it.
i think both guys are about even standing up and even in the cardio department...but, i give sherk the advantage in the wrestling/takedown area.
should be fun though.

Good thing for Huerta that his last UFC fight won't be against Sherk...it would be hard to be an actor/model with a wrecked grill.
