Strikeforce Signs "Cyborg" Santos; Gina Carano Close To Signing

Here it comes.....

Sherdog.com is reporting that Strikeforce has signed EliteXC veteran Cristiane "Cyborg" Santos (6-1) to a four-fight deal. The promotion is also close to signing Gina Carano (7-0), who has been rumored as a possible opponent for Santos since the two fought in EliteXC last year.

waste of money if ask me.

one fight, isn't worth what they'd have to pay carano, contract wise...besides, with them signing santos, it's almost a given that they have to sign carano or what else will santos do?

and honestly, i'm with dana white on this one...female mma fights just don't sell as well as male mma fights.

plus, has carano ever shown up to fight and made weight? or not looked horribly gassed by the end of the 1st round? cute, sure carano's cute but.......cute doesn't equal good fights....horny, virgin guys will catch anything involving carano...cause they're horny, virgins.

myself......if they do go along with this fight...i'll download it for free and watch it when i'm bored......really bored.

I'm sure strikeforce is smart enough to put a women's fight on every card to build the div if they are going to try to legitimize a champion (which would hopefully be crowned in the carano v cyborg fight)

I'm not a huge MMA fan, but the Cyborg-Carano is one fight that I actually would PAY to see.
