Nick Diaz To Face Frank Shamrock At April 11 Strikeforce Show

It's Shamrock vs. Diaz!
Former Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Frank Shamrock will face EliteXC, UFC, and PRIDE veteran Nick Diaz at Strikeforce's April 11 show at the HP Pavilion in San Jose, California. It is currently unknown which weight class the two will fight in, however Diaz has mentioned in the past that he has no problem moving up a weight class.
The April 11 Strikeforce show is expected to air on Showtime and will also feature Scott Smith vs. Benji Radach. It has also been rumored that Strikeforce Lightweight Champion Josh Thomson and Gilbert Melendez will also be on the card, but opponents have yet to be announced.

Yeah because Diaz vs KJ Noons is such a waste of a match. [rolls eyes]
Way to stick with what made EliteXC so successful guys...Shamrock equals buys? No.

Interesting... Strikeforce has a Light, Middle, Light-Heavy, and Heavyweight champions- but no Welterweight- and they choose to use Diaz this way?
Sure, it'll be a big fight with tons of hype, but it seems like a bit of a waste to use one of their best new additions this way.

Hmm... This fight is a nice tuneup fight for Diaz before he faces Noons for the title on a PPV (That should also feature Carano vs Cyborg).

What a weird matchup.
Noons was stripped of the EXC title so it would just be a grudge match, which would still be cool. Of course, Noons would have to actually want to be a "F'N fighter" (and not a boxer) to actually go ahead with it.
