Shields speaks to 411 about his fight in May.

Jake Shields has a few words for 411mania.com about his main event fight with Robbie Lawler in May.

"I had just started training for (Joe) Riggs, when I was offered Robbie Lawler. I'll be fighting Robbie in the main event of the May card. Robbie's one of the best at 185lbs. I have to be prepared for a full-on battle. I'm excited about the fight and I'll be ready.

- Of his list of possible future fights, he said:

"Robbie Lawler was on my list, and I'm fighting him. And I'd like to fight Shinya Aoki, Frank Shamrock, and Frank Trigg."

Really Jake Shields! Cause all you whined about was wanting to fight and beat GSP !

Im super pumped about these fights. We will be there like always..Sucks Shields isnt fighting, but I think the matchup with Lawler is definately more interesting. Might have to skip child support and fly up to Tacoma..haha I saw lawler get Ko'd by diaz at ufc 47 abd saw him beat scott smith in stockton last year at EXC event. Saw shields for the first time at this event also . Top notch fighters , a couple of the beat in the business. as for Rogers being rumored to fight against someone tba, I would MUCH rather see that than Riggs vs Anyone. Im excited about the direction this organization is going..April 11th seems so far away...in the words of the immortal John McCartney.. Lets Get It On!
