The Ultimate Fighter 9
Team US vs. Team UK
Episode 11
Previously: Damarques moved on to the finals. Both Lightweight fights are tonight.
Opening Video
Henderson wants Cameron to takedown Andre and pound him out but Cameron wants to stand and bang. Cameron has a bit of torn cartilage in his ribs but he's going to suck it up and fight. Henderson makes sure Cameron's ribs are protected during sparring.
Andre's gameplan is to stand, bang, and look out of the right uppercut.
Dean makes it known that Andre sucks his thumb. Team UK guys give him shit about it. Andre compares sucking his thumb to smoking and says he used to be a chain smoker and is now a once a day guy.
Lightweight Semi-Final Fight: Cameron Dollar (Team US) vs. Andre Winner (Team UK)
Recap: Cameron spent the majority of the first round trying to takedown Andre after losing some exchanges and eating a few knees to the body but couldn't. He got a body lock and went for the trip takedown but Andre reversed right into mount. Andre then went for a triangle choke from the top, rolled to his back, and locked in the hold until Cameron tapped.
Winner – Andre Winner, Submission (Triangle Choke), Round 1
Andre says he hopes he represented his country and family well. "I didn't do anything stupid except suck my thumb." Henderson says Cameron has a future in the sport and he has a lot of potential.
During a sparring session, Ross pops his shoulder out while going for a takedown. Bisping pops it back in for him. Ross says that it's an old injury and that it happens all the time. Foreshadowing? Ross continues his training.
Dana says Dent turned in the most impressive performance in the previous rounds. Dent takes offense to those comments claiming he's fighting intelligently. Henderson thinks Dent is better than what he showed in his previous fight. Dent says he's going to let it all hang out in this fight.
Lightweight Semi-Final Fight: Ross Pearson (Team UK) vs. Jason Dent (Team US)
Recap: First round was all on the feet and in the clinch. Both fighters won their fair amount of exchanges but Ross seemed to land the more effective shots. Could have been scored either way but I thought Ross won it. The second round was more of the same except Ross scored a takedown and with about 30 seconds left Ross sprawled out of a takedown and ended up on top coming down with good ground and pound. Ross appears to be up two rounds to none. Ross dominated the third round. He got an early takedown and pounded on Dent the entire round, mainly in the turtle position. A possible 10-8 round.
Winner – Ross Pearson, Unanimous Decision
Dana says he was more impressed with Dent losing than in his two wins.
Lightweight Final: Andre Winner vs. Ross Pearson
Bisping and both fighters are happy that it's an all UK final.
Next Week: The final episode of the season. Frank takes on James for the right to move on to the Finals.
Show Comments: Good fights this week and that's about all. Winner vs. Pearson seems to be a fun final come next Saturday. Final episode of the season next week.
Should be a nice final. Both Winner and Pearson look to be very good strikers. Gotta give the edge to Winner though.

I thought Winner looked great in there I am excited he is in the finale. Tonight's show was good. If I am not mistaken we got a good shot of Charles "Mask" Lewis in there, just for a glimpse of the fight between Jason Dent vs Ross Pearson anywho Rip Mask..

This season, in general, I feel it hasnt really shown a lot of the fighters. If you miss a show on which they fight, then you dont even hear them talk. I think its because they had so many two-fight-a-night deals.
The funny thing is the guy who seems to of gotten a lot of air time is Peirce and he didnt even fight. Well, him and Damarques.

I can't wait until every single one of these fighters gets cut from the UFC less than three months after the finale.

This has been the worst season thus far. I expected the UK fights to be great (seeing as most young USA fighters have been tapped clean but UK is untouched) but they have been decent at best. The USA fights are all horrible. None of them seem like trained fighters, just some dicks you get into a fight with at a bar.
Even Kimbo Slice looks like Fedor in comparison to these bums.

And once again, Pierce has proven that he's a lying, back-stabbing little bitch. It would be SO awesome if he had to fight the red-haired guy (sorry, forgot his name) in the Finale. It would be poetic justice.

I have to agree - the American fighters on this show are terrible. Not one of them besides Damarques has a shot at lasting in the UFC. Ross and Winner are the two best lightweights, so it should be a good fight at least.
