A bulging disc in your neck WTF Tito what was all that noise about being 100% healthy?? Come on no excuses it was a good fight.
Posted By: Paul (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:09 AM
Amazing how, before the fight, Ortiz was declaring he was "100% healthy", but after he loses, he has a 'health problem'. He's more pussy than his girlfriend Jenna Jameson.

Great ppv, all main card macthes where good to great. Lil Nog winning was great, it's awesome that he's finally in the UFC...what kept him so long. The judges once again showed that they are clueless, one judge giving Tito the win is just ridiculous...Forrest rightfully won. Tito as usual blamed the loss on injuries, although claiming before the fight he was 100%...some things never change...
Posted By: Krajton (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:10 AM
Once again tito loses and makes up reasons for it. Class act you blonde bitch.

i dont think kos could beat gsp i think hardy has more of a chance to make a dent
Posted By: Guest#7142 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:19 AM
I thought this was a great show overall.
Baroni vs Sadollah was entertaining, though one sided to amir. Baroni should a lot of resilience and heart lasting the whole fight.
Lil Nog debuted in fantastic fashion demolishing Cane.
Volkmann v thiago was a surprisingly good fight with a fair amount of back and forth action.
RUmble v Koscheck..the only real disapointment of the night..koscheck makes himself look like a soccer player and took out all of the interest i had in the fight, or watching anymore with him in them.
Ortiz vs Griffin...wow, fight of the night definetly, epic performance from both men and the crowd was electric for this, Ortiz's takedowns and griffins defense were fantastic, griffin brought some great striking, controlling most of the stand up too. Loved the start to round 3 where ortiz looked exetremely pissed after the ground sweep griffin did at the end of round 2, was just a pity ortiz didnt do much in rd3.
Surpassed my expectations for what originally seemed like a dull card!
Posted By: Guest#4762 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:20 AM
Also thought the post fight talk from ortiz was very amusing when he started talking about the injury he had and the crowd boo'd and he got pissed, good stuff.

VINTAGE TITO!

So how about that Jake Roseholt pick guys? /preemptive jab
I'm sure all the justification for it will be this: Kendall Grove to this point has been a long gangly sack of mediocrity and if there were smart money to be placed on a fight, it'd be against him, blah blah blah
Posted By: Anonguy (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:48 AM
GREAT PPV I won the money in a bet to pay the $60 to rent the ppv in HD beting on KOS AND Forrest 2 of my fav fighters soo Im real happy with the outcome plus I really been looking forward to Lil Nog's debut which was great.

Good show. Tito looked good considering how long he'd been out, not a fan of his but he always puts on a show.
Diet Nog looked great! really impressed with his boxing, if all the peices fall into place I'd love to see him & Shogun re-match one day, their first fight was f'n awesome.
Good win for Koscheck but get in line son, Hardy won a title eliminator so as soon as GSP whoops his arse (hurts me to say it but GSP's in another league right now) you'll get your shot and GSP will whoop your arse too.
Posted By: UK_MMA_Fan (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 05:02 AM
Good show. Griffin won clearly IMHO, I'm happy with Koscheck vs. Hardy for a shot at GSP (who can use the spare time to bulk up and embarras Anderson Silva) and finally, a huge win for little Nog - here's hoping Shogun beats Machida so we can have both Nogueiras as champions...
Posted By: chris.crowing (Registered) on November 22, 2009 at 05:16 AM
The only shock from Tito was that he didn't blame the black eye/cracked skull first. First it was his back and the "c-uh S-11 verte-...uh, my skull is broke!!!". Seriously, outside of Tito himself, the biggest joke is the split decision as there is no fucking way on any level he came close to winning this fight unless most shots to the face are a determining factor. And if that's the case, his prostitute/wife wins.
Posted By: Butters4Prez (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 05:24 AM
Griffin vs Ortiz was a great 2 round fight, dunno wtf Ortiz was doing in round 3 though. Like it says in the report, he threw less than 10 punches and only shot in for a takedown once with any enthusiasm. He was pretty much a punching bag for Forrest that round, essentially ending his own chances of winning. Disappointing end to the fight after the exciting 1st and 2nd round.

Josh Koscheck...what a tool. Dan Hardy is undefeated in the UFC and earned his shot. Admittedly, the competition he has faced hasn't been that stellar, but seeing as The Champ has beaten everyone else, including this dopey bleach blonde wally, so who else is there really?!
Maybe Kos has forgotten the one sided fight he had with GSP after being knocked into next week by Alves and Thiago
Posted By: Guest#1486 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 07:11 AM
I was very happy to see Rogerio again after a long time. I don't fault him at all for taking the fight with his stand-up, but watching a Nog work on the ground is always amazing. I anticipate a Nogueira submission with the same excitement I used to anticipate a Tyson knockout 100 years ago. Good job Little Nog, maybe next time...

You still watch Universally Fixed Contests? That's just a euphemism for "pro fighting" just like "pro wrestling." Shogun-Machida was the straw for me, I just read results for UFC. I hope Strikeforce gets bigger because there's no way I can watch UFC again.

judge needs to go to school to learn the right judgement
Posted By: clayton (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 12:06 PM
judges in ufc are not very smart to pick the right winner....same like vera and couture, they pick up the losser fighter to win...ortiz and griffins supposed ortiz will win by score..what a heck.i lost my 300.00 for this beating this fighter..
Posted By: clayton (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 12:09 PM
Is it just me or does Anthony Johnson really become involved in a lot of fights that involve eye pokes?

"Grove is a long fighter with good submissions so he could catch Rosholt on an armbar or triangle off his back..."
It was just one of those fights that was close on paper, but for some reason everyone picked Rosholt.

tito is a BITCH!!!!!! forrest made up for last fight when he ran!!
Posted By: rickybobby (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:26 PM
I agree with who gives a what. That seems so much like watchin WWE in an octagon it was pathetic. It honestly looked like Tito "put over" Forrest Griffin, especially in the 3rd round
Posted By: Guest#6831 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 01:28 PM
Great, entertaining night of fighting. Only two sour notes for me...
1) Tito talking about the injuries he had...classless, and no excuse as you agreed to the fight and stepped out there on the night.
2) Koscheck and his weird feigning of injury. It was definitely an illegal shot as he was down, but why did Koscheck feel the need to grab his left eye which clearly wasn't hit by the knee? In fact, on slo-mo it showed that he took a finger to his RIGHT eye after the knee and he made no complaint. Was he trying to get Johnson outright DQ'd? Wish Rogan had asked him about it after the fight.
One final note, I wonder how the hell Baroni was still standing considering the state of his leg, and just how gassed he clearly was. Great heart, but perhaps dropping some muscle mass would help him cardio wise.
Posted By: dennett316 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 02:08 PM
yeah i love how everyone talks shit in a comment board but no one in here would dare fight him, the guy doesnt like to lose so what, whats intresting though is kos talkin junk, bringing up the ideas for the ultimate hardy/kos
which is strange because hardy hasnt really done anything for him to be considered i mean look at former hughes gsp franklin hendo

Posted By: Guest#1242 (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 02:39 PM
Poor Tito. It must be hard to compete at 100 % when as soon as you lose you were actually injured all along, suffering from cracked skulls, slipped discs, and probably a broken neck or three.
Actually, I can believe he was injured in some form, given that by round three he looked to be having trouble raising his arm up and extending it outwards in what I'd describe as a "punching" motion. Instead, he raised them up and held them in front of his face in the "punchbag" motion, which is definitely what a guy who shouldn't be in the octagon would have done, as opposed to someone healthy or remotely talented.

Koscheck is a piece of trash, dana white shouldn't let him fight. he gets rocked before the knee that didn't hit him in the eye, rests up taking full 5 minutes, then two eye pokes by him and no points takin away. classless garbage
Posted By: Stevo (Guest) on November 22, 2009 at 04:21 PM

little nog was great. he is underrated in the US obviously
paulo thiago fight was one of the best fights ive seen in a while
kos/johnson fight was meh but loved the ending with kos calling hardy out and saying hes the real number 1 contender. this stuff is so entertaining, that its hard to believe that its not wwe and these are REAL fights too...loved it tho
griffin/ortiz was entertaining...good to see griffin redeem himself...overall it went from a awful looking ppv to one of the best ever
