Snatching victory from the jaws of defeat once again. It's hard not to root for Smith.

Good fight but Smith got lucky Cung Le had some rust from the long lay off and got fatigued but the moral here is a opossum isn't dead until its shoveled off the road. Hey thats what I'll call Smith now Scott "The Opossum" Smith

    0790,

Le exposed? Exposed because he beat the everloving crap out of a guy and got caught late in the third when both guys were tired? Not to mention by a guy who is a bonafide KO artist. Yeah, coming back from a 2 year layoff to fight a guy a decade younger than him and making him look like an amatuer for 12-13minutes really exposed Le. It exposed him as the great stand-up fighter that he is. Good lord he needs some ground game though....

I hate the strikeforce announce team. Straight nut gargling Cung Lee, until he gets dropped. Then they nut Gargle Smith. They are tools.

I don't see how Le got exposed. If by, "exposed" you mean impressively beating the shit out of Smith until getting nailed with one of his huge, heavy, and hard hands; then yes, totally exposed... idiot.

Classy move, more fighters should be like him.

How boring is it when someone finally loses and some idiot comes on and says "Look he got exposed, hahaha", it's trite, innaccurate and about as unoriginal as you could possibly get.

Cung Le dominated and outfought Smith, he was the better fighter, but he got caught gassing, he got tired, his conditioning was out, and it's all his own fault for taking such a long lay off. No doubt when Le is actually in fighting shape - proper fighting shape, that is - he'll dismantle Smith all day long.

But Smith is a warrior, never gave up, and got the win. Fair play to the lad. But once again, the only thing he exposed on Le was that he'd been out for a long time doing films. Oh, but we already knew that. Idiot.

It would be better to use the opossum's cousin, the possum. At least is sounds better, rolls of the tongue more, ya know? Scott "The possum" Smith.

    Opossum just doesn't sound right.

    - Every time I see Mike Whitehead, the only thought that comes to my head is “that heavyweight that choke & threw the towel on TUF 2”… King Mo, had a good showing but nothing to brag about, not that impressive… needs to work on his leg kicks & leg kick defense, but is still a very talented fighter, great G&P… Ok Match

    - Jacare, was all over that one, the guy has improve amazingly in everyone of his MMA skills, he basically took Lindland to school, great showing… he is definitely on the hunt for Shields Middleweight title, honestly I think he could tear Jake apart!... Great match

    - Thompson vs. Melendez, WOW!!! What a fucking fight, they bought brought their respective A game… This match rule, this is what a title match shout be… I don’t remember the last time I saw a championship match that went the distance, where the competitors decided to BANG! Right from the start… Great stand up, great takedown defense, great back & forward action, everything was in its place. I am glad to see a title fight that isn’t a one sided affair (Penn vs. Sanchez)… in the end the best man won! Awesome fight… One of the top 10 (Hell! top 5, I dare to say) of 2009…

    - Cung Le, is the poor man’s version of Mirko Cro Cop… This is why I am such a big Scot Smith fan, you just enjoy his whole “underdog persona” about t him… you are always afraid that he is going to get murder, but somehow, somewhere, he pulls it out in the end… How? Great fight Cung Le, totally owned Smith, but that is what makes MMA, so great… Sometimes a Surprise can catch you, from out of nowhere…

    Awesome Card…
