Nick Diaz IS The TOTAL PACKAGE, he is the best WW NOT Named GSP seems truly ahead of him.
GSP/Diaz is the fight they need to make at WW and I bet you Diaz would lose it ONLY via UD.

Good show.
Lashley needs a serious opponent next. The stoppage wasn't great, but Sims had nothing for him. Get this man a real fight next time!
Lawler's one punch KO was sick. He was getting brutalized up until then...Manhoef will never hold gold, but I think he makes for great slugfests.
Walker looked good for an old man, but Nagy was terrible...terrible. The heel hook attempt was the only offensive move I really saw him do the entire fight. Props to Walker though, he did NOT look 47 years old out there.
Coenen did fairly well but Cyborg is just too much animal. They will have a hard time finding a gal strong enough to tangle with her seriously...maybe Toughill is next.
Diaz...man, oh man. I'm not his biggest fan, but he is a monster now. Hieron will get tooled by this version of Diaz if that's the next fight for him.
Before everyone says "LOL Zaromskis is another overrated fighter from Japan", he did not look all bad. He dropped Diaz. However, Nick had a significant height and reach advantage and exploited it the entire fight, tore Marius UP with it. Once he gets a bit more defensive with his striking he'll be a dangerous, dangerous contender. To be honest, it was kinda early for him to fight someone like Diaz, who eats aggressive, defense-deficient strikers for lunch.

Nick Diaz saying after the fight, "I just want to go home so I can eat" was him REALLY saying "Okay, I'm waiting until AFTER the drug test to smoke a fatty this time, so lets get this shit over with!"

i love diaz and weed till i die bro

I really wanted Zaromskis to take his fight, but Diaz' reach advantage was too much (although I reckon Diaz' leading leg was open to be SWEPT at least a few times.)
Lashley needs a credible opponent next, or at least someone who'll give him a little momentum - what's Arlovski up to?

Team Cesar Gracie pretty much has Strikeforce on lockdown.
Posted By: Pwnage (Guest) on January 31, 2010 at 06:25 AM
Diaz-Zaromskis fight was crazy. I wouldnt say that Diaz is the second best WW,but I would rank him at no.4 after GSP,Ftich and Alves. Hardy aint got no shit on Diaz.

Another loud mouth MMA guy getting beaten up by an ex pro wrestler!

rumours for upcoming fights:
in march:
Fedor Emelianenko vs Fabricio Werdum
Dan Henderson vs Jake Shields
Gegard Mousasi vs Mo Lawal
except the last one these are pretty much set matchups. Now here come some new rumours, straight from Coker:
on the show after Fedor-Werdum,probably in may:
Nick Diaz vs Hayato Sakurai or Jay Hieron
Shinya Aoki vs Gilbert Melendez
Cris Santos vs Erin Toughill
Bobby Lashley vs Brett Rogers
these would be great fights,Aoki vs Melendez would be a show-stopper.
Also,Andre Galvao sets to make his SF debut soon. He is a world class BJJ fighter, something like Jacaré and Maia.

Diaz is a very dangerous guy when you combine his reach, boxing and BJJ. Aside from that, Captain Cannabis might be the best nickname ever.

Even though UFC President Dana White dismissed the idea that his mixed martial arts promotion specifically wanted to go head-to-head with WWE RAW Monday, many within pro wrestling and mixed martial arts still considered the UFC Fight Night vs. Monday Night RAW battle to be a “Monday Night War.”
WWE’s decision to book former boxing great Mike Tyson on its show indicates that it, too, felt Monday night was ripe for making a statement.
And, as expected, it proved that regardless of pay-per-view performance, WWE remains the leader when it comes to cable television. Ratings data reveals that USA Network’s RAW posted a 3.7 cable rating (3.2 household) with 5.45 million viewers and a 2.1 rating among adults 18-49.
By comparison, UFC Fight Night on Spike TV averaged a 1.1 household rating with 1.71 million viewers and a 0.9 among adults 18-49. The cable rating (the one wrestling and MMA sites refer to as “the rating”) was not available at press time, but a good ballpark would be a 1.3.
SUCK ON THAT BITCHES!

Awesome show , I enjoyed every fight.

- Lashley look great, to bad Sim’s was the victim here… it was clearly an early stoppage. Lashey needs a Real threat now… Before he can talk shit about going after Fedor & Overeem… Good Match
- WOW! What a Stand Up assault Manhoef, was putting on Lawler… He was destroying the Guy… I mean those kick’s to the leg were fucking vicious… And yet Lawler pulls it out in the end… Great fight, Manhoef, totally owned Lawler, but that MMA for ya’… Don’t Blink, One Second later and it’s all Over… Awesome!
- Herschel Walker was all over this one… The guy had a great in ring control, have a very good technique, a good stand up & takedown defense… Question: was it because his opponent was way greener than him? Nagy, look like someone who has only like six months training & somebody decided to suddenly put him in a fight, just for the hell of it… I mean went a guy takes you to school on his very first MMA match, how good exactly are you? Prop’s to Walker, Good Match
- Chris “Cyborg” Santos is officially in full Wanderlai “Axe Murderer” Silva 2006 Grand Prix Mode! She is destroying everything they put in her path… Great action here, Coenen is a amazing fighter, she look great, prop’s to her toughness, but Santos was just to much for her fight plan… she did tried, but couldn’t put Santos in danger… Awesome Match, WHO’s Next?
(Who would win in a Stand Up match between Cyborg Santos vs. Clay Guida...?)
- Diaz vs. Zaromskis, AWESOME!!! What a great fight, they bought brought their aggressiveness to this match… Strikeforce is putting on some great Title matches as of late (Alistair, Where are You?)… Booth competitors decided to BANG! Right from the very get go… Great stand up action, great takedown defense, great back & forward action, to bad that Diaz reach advantages kill Zaromskis momentum, his will to KO Diaz, is what kill Zaromskis chances in this one. The best man won! Diaz look amazingly well rounded for this one, awesome fight… Great main Event
(I actually now I want to see a GSP vs. Diaz Match… Diaz would lose, but it would be a great fight)
Great Card… ***1/2

Where are all the haters saying how much of a dumb stoner Diaz is? Amazing how someone who smokes such a bad drug has the physical and mental skills to be a top MMA fighter.

You do realize MMA and Pro Wrestling aren't even the same thing right? If the UFC is trying to compete with anyone, its other MMA promotions and boxing.

Really dude?? REALLY?? You do know that WWE and UFC aren't even in competition with each other because they are TOTALLY different right? One being staged fighting for story purposes they other being real fighting?
While your at it lets compare Basketball ratings to jersey shore ratings on mtv...because you know they are in direct competition with each other. IDIOT!
