Well Couture in my book does not deserve a title shot...maybe a fight against Thiago Silva or Evans if he loses to Jackson.

Posted By: Super Yoda (Guest)  on February 07, 2010 at 01:01 AM

Joe Silva/Dana White for the colossal fail. Instead of seeing a superfight rematch between Silva and Hendo...instead of Silva fighting against Okami to avenge the last loss on his record...instead of seeing Silva take on a revamped Marquardt...we get Silva vs. the immortal Chael Sonnen. Jesus, that may be the worst selling PPV ever.

Anybody know what Tito said to Coleman post fight interview? Also anybody know the name of the song was playing after the paulo thiago and mike swick fight was thanks.

Silva's become a draw and people hate Sonnen. I don't see it doing bad business, especially with a title.

with all the decisions...who would have thought that serra and courure would end their fights early.

Posted By: Guest#6196 (Guest)  on February 07, 2010 at 02:15 AM

go, couture. brock needs to man up and fight or give up the title.

Great Job Tito!! Call out the loser!

Posted By: Matt (Guest)  on February 07, 2010 at 02:48 AM

Not a great show, but not a bad one.

Trigg is done. He's not that bad of a commentator, he should pursue that instead of being an active fighter. Serra should drop to 155, he may have some more life there as a contender.

Maia's stand up looked improved. Not an exciting fight, but he's just plain better than Dan Miller.

A little surprised at the Thiago/Swick and Marquardt/Sonnen fights. Can't see Sonnen threatening the winner of Silva/Belfort though.

Coleman simply hasn't advanced his game enough to keep up with Couture, who has. I'm not sure Couture deserves another shot at the title yet, but if Rampage beats Rashad then heads off to Hollywood again, they will be short on contenders. Should Rashad win though, I'd say he deserves the shot over Couture, though Lil Nog can also be in the mix if he beats Griffin.

Chael Sonnen...I will not buy any ppv that he would headline..what a snoozer..

Congrates to Couture for a dominate performance tonight. And guessing nobody saw a submission coming in that fight.

I told everyone Gracie would lose;)

it was a horrible PPV,and Im not even that whiner type of fan. The UFC is clearly THE #1 org in the business, but unlike Strikeforce,Dream, and WEC,the UFC events often disappoint.

Posted By: SoulBrotherNo1 (Guest)  on February 07, 2010 at 07:24 AM

This is why the UFC needs to fix fights.

Melvin Guillard (41-9-3, 1NC)

Err... what?! Might wanna recheck that.

Solid night of fights but I'm so sick of the UFC hype, "Randy Couture is a top 5 LHW" sure Rogan, whatever a gift of a decision against Vera and a good sub on a guy who was past it 8-10 years ago makes you top 5?
Does anyone think he could beat Machida, Shogun, Rashad, Rampage, Lil' Nog, Forrest, Anderson or Mousasi? If you do then you're a damn sheep.

That's one of the stupidest comments I've read on this site. Good job moron.

UFC is for the Un-Educated. How can you watch this barbaric stuff??

Posted By: Guest#5188 (Guest)  on February 07, 2010 at 01:47 PM

- Guillard wants the title by 2011… YEAH, SURE!

- Danzig… “I still have a Job! WEEEEEEEEEE!!!

- Davis… Good Performance, keep it up!

- Could somebody give Rolles Gracie a DVD copy of “Zombieland”… The #1 rule to survival: “CARDIO”. I thought he was going to die from a massive stroke.

- Serra Look great & confident, you know referee’s should let Frank Trigg get murdered went somebody is applying some G&P on him, so he doesn’t complain that he got an early stoppage. Trigg should retire (Period)… Ok Fight

- Demian Maia, Look really sharp in this match against Miller, in Stand up & on the Ground, a good fight in all senses, a very solid fight… in the end! The better man won! … Good Fight

(By the By, This is why Steve Mazzagatti, get’s so much shit! Miller calls for Stop, after a Low Blow on him, and because of this Miller has to Eat 3 Punches to the face & has to escape the attack all by himself, before Mazzagatti, even has a clue of what is going on… IDIOT REF!!!)

- I am officially a Paulo Thiago “Mark”, he totally Killed Swick… If he repeats his victory over Koscheck, he will be the New #1, Welterweight contender… He looked Awesome this match! Best Figth of the Night!

- I Am Fucking Shock! Nate Loss, & loss Clean, Sonnen Totally took him to school, I’ve got to admit but Sonnen look More complete of the two. Nate’s downfall was the fact that he was to patient on trying to work his game plan on Sonnen, for the first two rounds, if he would had push the pace like he did in the third round thru out the entire fight he would had won it!... Great Action by Booth Men! 2nd. Best Figth of the Night!

( … I was bitching over the fact that they Dana stated “that the winner of this figth would be the new #1 contender”, I thought “Sure, if Nate Win’s”… But from this Performance, I say “Sure, Give it to Sonnen, He earn it, by Defeating the #2 Middleweight in the UFC”…)

- Randy Won!!! Yippee Freaking Wooo! Coleman’s done... The only reason I wanted Mark, to win was so we would save our self’s the whole “Randy’s quest for the Light Heavyweight Title”… A man who’s on a 2 fight win streak (an Unmotivated B. Vera & Old M. Coleman), considering who the champion has defeated to have that title (T.Silva, Evans, Shogun… All in their Prime!) It’s a little far fetched… To be already talking about this… I would Love for somebody to murder Couture, so we can end this title debate! … Anyhow, Good figth by Booth Men! I Wish it would had last longer (and it would have taken place about, 10 years ago!)…

In the end one of the best UFC card’s in a while... GOOD Show ***1/2

I was shocked with how badly Gracie did, I've not seen a fighter wilt so badly and give up so easily before.
Baroni gassed out after a round but didn't give up in so pathetic a manner...I'd imagine the other Gracies were cringing.

What is dana supposed to do give a title shot to okami or marquardt when both fighters lost to sonnen? And lets face it no matter who went up against silva it would be one sided anyway and yes i say silva because belfort does not stand a chance come ufc 112

Al Turk is not one of the best, but he's a very competent old geezer fighter, CroCrap needed a eye poke of doom, and the ref to not notice, to beat him. Maybe there should be an old giffer division in the UFC?
