If you've had a chance to listen to our new 411 Ground and Pound Radio Show I just wanted to take a minute and thank you for giving it a chance. I'm well aware that there's only a billion+ amateur voices on the internet that you could have been paying attention to but you actively chose to spend some of your time listening to Kuch, Samer and I give our opinions on MMA. For that I am grateful and appreciative (even if you thought we stunk). My hope is that some of you brave souls will rouse yourselves out of bed early on Sunday mornings and listen to the show when it's live. Personally, I think the perfect way to spend a Sunday morning, especially if it's after a Saturday night fight, is to pour yourself a hot cup of your favorite coffee, (I would recommend a Keurig coffee maker if you are in the market for one) cut yourself a fresh bagel – maybe put some shmear on it or lox or for my fellow Jews, some nice whitefish, and sit back in your favorite chair while listening to the 411 Ground and Pound Radio Show.
Furthermore, I'm hoping you'll take the time to call in with your thoughts, opinions and criticisms. I know some radio talk show hosts can be obnoxious and cut people off without letting them have their say but if being a therapist for over 5 years now has taught me anything it's how to listen attentively to crazy people those who need to be heard. To paraphrase the Ghostbusters, I'm ready to hear you. In addition, we are actively in the process of getting some interviews booked for the show and that will provide a rare opportunity for you to talk to some of your favorite fighters.
And even if you think I'm a complete lunatic who knows nothing about MMA and isn't worth wasting time talking to, you gotta admit, Samer and Kuch know their stuff. You should call in and talk to them. They are what my wife and I would call, "A Smart" (← pronounce with a bad Bostonian accent). You should at least call in and call Harris an idiot (assuming you are one of the ones that do so regularly on the R's). I didn't come here to tell you any of that so without further ado, let's get on with the fussin' and a fightin'.

Browning taps to strikes…le sigh.

After a brief exchange of strikes Chavez tries for a heel hook and exposes her lack of jiu jitsu knowledge. Chavez tries for an armbar to end the round.
SCORECARD: Rael 10-9
ROUND TWO Rael starts off with a knee and throws Chavez down with a Thai plum. Chavez spins around right into a guillotine. Chavez tries to strike her way out but Rael is holding on for dear life. Chavez slips out and reverses the guillotine. Rael defends and the scramble ends with Chavez in side control. Rael sweeps and nearly gets herself omaplata'd. Rael escapes and gets side control. Rael ends the round throwing short elbows in Chavez's face.
SCORECARD: Rael 10-9
ROUND THREE Chavez has nothing to lose and is starting to fight like it. She lands a series of kicks. Rael returns a kick. Front kick from Chavez. Chavez shifts back into a more passive fighting stance (apparently she doesn't want to win this fight). Chavez ducks under Rael's strikes and tackles her. Chavez has half guard until the ref stands them up. Chavez lands a few more strikes and tackles Rael again. Chavez lost the first two rounds but watch her win by split decision because she's smokin' hot!
SCORECARD: Chavez 10-9
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Diana Rael by split decision (29-28 Chavez, 29-28 RaelX2).
Justice prevails, HUZZAH!
Middleweight bout: Jamie Yager (185.5lbs 3-2) vs. Willie Parks (187lbs 4-0)
ROUND ONE Parks comes out swinging for the fences. Yager tries some of his trademark flying kicks. Parks charges forward and Yager tries for a standing guillotine. Parks catches his breath and drives Yager to the ground. Parks postures up and smashes Yager. Parks is in the North-South position. Parks continues to smother and control Yager from top position. Yager ends the round with elbows to the face.

Heavyweight bout: Tyler East (240.5lbs 9-3) vs. Prince Mclean (220lbs 6-6)
ROUND ONE East and McLean trade strikes until East ties McLean up and drives him to the mat. He smothers until he can get his hands free and then commences to smashing McLean into McNuggets. Short and sweet folks.
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Tyler East by TKO (strikes) at 1:33 of round 1.
ROUND ONE Wheeler and Pulver start out trying to find their distance with strikes. Pulver lands leg strike. Wheeler returns with a pair of leg kicks. Pulver lands a hard right hand that drops Wheeler. He dives in the ground and pound and then let's Wheeler back up. Wheeler misses with a superman punch. They trade a few more strikes before the round ends.
SCORECARD: Pulver
ROUND TWO Both fighters are back to trading kicks. Pulver lands another hard punch and drops Wheeler like a bad habit. It looks like Wheeler is out but he starts to recover so Pulver moves in again. Wheeler gets to his feet and runs away, back to Pulver. Pulver catches him and knocks him down again. Pulver asks the ref to stop the fight and the ref commands him to finish it…so he does.
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Jens Pulver by TKO (strikes) at 1:59 of round 2.
MMA Fight Pit - Genesis Main Event
Light Heavyweight bout: Houston Alexander (205.5lbs 12-6-0-2) vs. Razak Al-Hassan (204lbs 11-3)
ROUND ONE Al-Hassan starts off with a pair of leg kicks. Now they exchange another series of leg kicks. Alexander tries to land a series of low punches. Alexander lands an inside low kick. Al-Hassan nearly front kicks Alexander in the mush a la Anderson Silva. Alexander plants Al-Hassan with a straight left and drops him. Al-Hassan recovers and gets back on his feet. Al-Hassan throws a kick, which is caught and released. Al-Hassan lands one more kick before the round ends.
SCORECARD: Alexander 10-9
ROUND TWO Both fighters are still trying to find their distance. Alexander catches a kick from Al-Hassan and then smacks him. Al-Hassan follows up with a side kick. Alexander gets poked in the eye. Alexander keeps trying to land that low body punch. Al-Hassan has been very lethargic this round. With 20 seconds left they clinch. Alexander lands one last punch and knocks him down to end the round.
SCORECARD: Alexander 10-9
The doctor checks Al-Hassan's hand and opts to stop the fight due to a dislocated vaginafinger. Your winner by TKO (MMA fingerpoke of doom) Houston Alexander.
Well this was a mixed bag if there ever was one. You can definitely see lower level of proficient in these fighters that far separates them from the UFC or even Strikeforce. Ah well, you win some you lose some.
Finally an MMA finger poke of doom!! He didn't take it as well as Nash did though.

Wow, just saw Browning tap out and look like shit, can this guy blow any more opportunities? First he shows up looking bloated as fuck and then he has a piss-poor fight where he ends up tapping out because he looks like he's just bored and too tired to bother carrying on.
What a joke.
