* Azunna Anyanwu defeated J.A. Dudley via TKO Round 2 (Strikes)

-They run down the tournament, which features no elbows to the head in the first round tournament matches, and who we will be seeing in the cage.
-Fun note, the combined record of the field is 153-29, with 128 finishes. Damn.
WELTERWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT - Steve Carl (14-2) vs. Douglas Lima (18-4)
ROUND ONE: And here we go with season five of Bellator! They come out, circle and Lima leads with a jab. Leg kick by Lima, Carl misses a right, and then lands one and Lima is down. Lima tries a heel hook, reverses and is in guard. Carl tries to work from the bottom holding Lima close, but Lima is composing himself and looking to work. Lefts from Carl, landing more from the bottom and working a high closed guard. Lima stands, leg kick and Carl is back to his feet. Jabs from Carl, Lima misses a body kick. Both throw combos, Carl slips and Lima misses another kick. Good right by Lima, Carl backing off Lima, and Lima just misses a high kick. Trip takedown by Lima ,and into side control. Lima with short lefts, and into guard now. Lima back to side control, looks for the arm, but Carl out. Lima stands, leg kicks connect. Carl is back up now, they circle and Carl presses the action but is not doing much. Leg kick by Lima, Carl shoots, stuffed and the round ends. Close round.
SCORECARD: Lima 10-9.
ROUND TWO: Round two now, they circle and a leg kick by Lima, Carl catches it and takes him down. Carl looking for a heel hook, Lima out and into guard. Lima controlling on top, in half guard and now back to guard. Carl throwing from the bottom, has an arm and Lima pulls out and stands. Carl back up, right by Lima. They trade rights, and then Carl misses wildly. Push kick by Lima, leg kick follows for Lima. Left hook follows, Carl shoots, stuffed and Lima into guard. Carl looks for an arm, Lima in half guard, and then to side control. Lima steps over, stands and stacks up Carl and into side control. Carl rolls, Lima stands and Lima back into half guard. Carl working for a kimura again, Lima escapes and possible looking for a head and arm triangle. Lima with some rights as the round ends.
SCORECARD: Lima 20-18.
ROUND THREE: They come out, body kick by Lima. Leg kick again, left by Lima as Carl charged in. Carl with a knee fake, they trade leg kicks. Good right by Lima, they trade jabs and a straight right by Lima. Lima takes Carl down, into half guard and Lima with some body shots. Lima in side control and easily keeping Carl down. Carl looking for the kimura again, and Lima lands elbows to the body. Lima escapes the kimura attempt, Lima in half guard and works to side control again. Lima then gets mount and lands some rights. Lima then gets the back, rear naked choke try, Carl rolls and into guard. He stacks up Lima, but Lima defending. Finally some shots by Carl, Lima defending, half guard and Carl with some shots, but they are weak and the round ends.
SCORECARD: Lima 30-27, possibly 29-28.
OFFICIAL RESULT: Douglas Lima via unanimous decision (29-28, 30-27, 30-27)
-Jimmy is with Lima and Lima says that Carl is very tough, but he expected that and there are no easy fights here. He then says it is great to get the fist win, as he trained very hard for the fight.
-Kurt Pelligrino is here to discuss fighting for Bellator. He decided he did not like retirement, and decided he wanted to come to Bellator. He will fight at Bellator 59 against Patricky "Pitbull" Freire.
WELTERWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT - Dan Hornbuckle (22-4) vs. Luis Santos (49-6-1)
ROUND ONE: And here we go with the second fight of the evening. They touch and here we go. Leg kick by Santos, they circle and a high kick checked by Hornbuckle. Leg kick by Santos, another and Hornbuckle shoots but Santos slips out. Both throw wildly, Santos misses the leg kick. Leg kick by Santos, and a right hook follows. High kick by Santos checked, and then the leg kick by Santos again. Hornbuckle chasing, but not landing. Body shot by Hornbuckle, leg kick by Santos. Leg kicks all day landing for Santos, Hornbuckle pressing the action a bit, but not really landing. Jumping kick by Lima lands, Hornbuckle backs off, in with a knee but Santos scoops him up and takes him down. Santos pops right back up, lands leg kicks. Hornbuckle back to his feet, they circle and not much happening. Leg kick by Santos, Hornbuckle off balance and another leg kick by Santos. He is chopping v down with ease and the round ends.
SCORECARD: Santos 10-9.
ROUND TWO: Round two begins, they circle and a leg kick by Santos. Hornbuckle chasing with a combo, Hornbuckle misses the head kick. They trade leg kicks, and more land for Santos. Santos drives in and takes Hornbuckle down with ease. Santos works from the guard, and they get stood up after like, 12-seconds, lame. Leg kicks by Santos, Hornbuckle probing with the jab but not really landing. Leg kick again by Santos, and he is bruising up the thigh of Hornbuckle. They trade rights, accidental nut shot by Santos, Hornbuckle walks it off with no break and back to action. Push kick by Santos, Hornbuckle chases with jabs that miss. High kick by Santos checked, but finally a solid right by Hornbuckle. Santos takes Hornbuckle to the cage, presses him and works some knee strikes. Santos holds Hornbuckle as the round ends.
SCORECARD: Santos 20-18.
ROUND THREE: Hornbuckle needs a finish in a BAD way here, as he has clearly lost the first two rounds. Final round begins, and a leg kick by Hornbuckle. Combo lands for Santos, Hornbuckle clips him and Santos is down. Kicks to the thighs by Hornbuckle, Hornbuckle looks to jump in but then lands more thigh kicks. Santos snags a leg, gets back to his feet and then gets a sweet throw and takes Hornbuckle down. Santos controlling, just stalling and holding Hornbuckle down. Santos slowly works him to the cage, Hornbuckle looks for a rubber guard, but cannot get it. Santos clearly playing it safe as he just lays on Hornbuckle, not throwing any strikes. As I say that he works in some body shots. They get stood up with 2-minutes to go. Leg kick by Santos, combo by Hornbuckle. Santos chases with a wild combo, body shots by Hornbuckle answers that. Hornbuckle fighting with no sense of urgency at all, just circling and dancing around. Leg kick by Hornbuckle, Santos clearly countering at this point. Hornbuckle chasing him down, but Santos gets a head kick and has Hornbuckle rocked! Santos drive shim to the cage, lands some knees and locks up Hornbuckle as the round ends. Close final round, could go either way, but clearly an uninspired performance from Hornbuckle.
SCORECARD: Santos 29-28, but 30-27 is possible.

WELTERWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT - Chris Cisneros (13-3) vs. Ben Saunders (10-3-2dr)
ROUND ONE: Saunders will have a 9-inch reach advantage. They touch and here we go. Saunders out quickly, drives Cisneros to the cage and works his knee strikes. Cisneros turns him, but Saunders with a sweet throw and takes Cisneros down. Saunders in side control, Cisneros working but Saunders is smothering him. Mount by Saunders, flattens Cisneros out as his corner yells to remind him no elbows. Saunders pins an arm and starts to land lefts. Cisneros turning, more lefts by Saunders. Saunders working for the back, has one hook in and keeps landing lefts. Saunders controlling easily, working for the back again, but avoids that but Saunders back on top and looking for a kimura. More lefts from Saunders, Cisneros rolls and gets top, lands a good right. They roll again, north south here as Cisneros then ends up in guard. Saunders controlling from bottom, Cisneros stands and then lands thigh kicks. Kicks from the bottom by Saunders, Cisneros back in and then Saunders lands a head kick from the mat. Cisneros misses a big shot, in guard and Saunders almost locks in a triangle as the round ends.
SCORECARD: Saunders 10-9
ROUND TWO: Round two begins, they circle and a leg kick by Saunders. Leg kick by Cisneros, gets a takedown and they scramble. Saunders ends in side control, and looking for the kimura once again. Cisneros is able to escape, Saunders still working from side control, into north south and then Saunders into Cisneros' half guard. He then quickly transitions to side control again, and big knees to the body by Saunders. Saunders just doing work here, and Saunders lands some big lefts as he traps the arms. Saunders working hard for crucifix position, lands more lefts and Cisneros has no answer right now. Americana try by Saunders, but Cisneros is able to escape. More lefts by Saunders, looks for the kimura again, but then decides to go back to punching Cisneros. Final 10-seconds here, Cisneros rolls, but the round ends.
SCORECARD: Saunders 20-18.
ROUND THREE: Final round. Body kick by Saunders to begin the round. TO the cage, combo by Saunders and then the clinch and knees. Saunders drops Cisneros, ground and pound and FINALLY we get a finish.

WELTERWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT - Chris Lozano (8-1) vs. Brent Weedman (19-6-1dr)
ROUND ONE: Final bout of the night, here we go. They come out, touch and then start to whoop as son each other! Weedman takes Lozano to the cage, and slams him down. Weedman trying to get a hook in, Lozano gets to his feet and Lozano lands some knees as they work along the cage. Lozano with a great throw, takes Weedman down and to north south they go. Weedman back to his feet, to the cage they go and they separate. They clinch, knees by Weedman and a great throw on Lozano. TO the mat they go, Weedman gets a hook in and works for the other. Working on the rear naked choke, Lozano fighting it off, some rights by Weedman to soften him up. Lozano trying to get to his feet, but Weedman is on his back and landing shots as he looks for the choke. Weedman tries to flatten Lozano out, Weedman has the body triangled, landing shots as Lozano tries to fight off the RNC. Weedman keeps him locked up, but Lozano will survive the round.
SCORECARD: Weedman 10-9.
ROUND TWO: Round two now, Lozano throwing some wild kicks, they both throw wildly, good knee by Lozano. They continue to trade, both landing and no real defense here. Lozano with a great right, another and they separate. Lozano starting to land more as both men throw with not much care, and down into north south. Back to the feet, Lozano with s big left and Weedman with a solid right. Combo, clinch and they separate, Lozano still landing the much better strikes here. Weedman finally answers with a big right, combo by Lozano and Weedman looks hurt. This is some Rocky shit here. Lozano keeps landing very solid shots, Weedman looks wobbly. Lozano with another combo, Weedman keeps walking forward and jabbing. Weedman chasing with wild shots and missing. More combo work by Lozano, leg kick by Lozano and jabs by Weedman. To the cage they go, and the round ends.
SCORECARD: 19-19
ROUND THREE: Final round now, and they touch and circle. Weedman chasing early, Lozano catches a leg kick and shoves Weedman back, Spinning back kick by Lozano. Weedman with the single leg, but Lozano on top and landing shots. Weedman finally pulls Lozano off of him, but cannot get the full takedown. Lozano landing shots again, they scramble and Weedman finally gets Lozano down. Only for Lozano to get back to his feet. Sweet throw by Lozano, and lands rights to the ribs. Lozano setting up for a darce choke, lets go, and Lozano looking for mount, almost all the way through and starts to land rights on Weedman. Lozano looks for a key lock, can't get it and goes back to landing the ground and pound special on Weedman's face. Lozano looking for the back of Weedman, but Weedman sweeps and gets a waistlock, but Lozano back to half guard. Lozano works to his feet as Weedman tries to pull him back down, but Lozano keeps landing shots. Back to the feet, to the cage they go and some light knees by Weedman. He drags Lozano down, and that is all.
SCORECARD: Lozano 29-28
OFFICIAL RESULT: Chris Lozano via unanimous decision (29-28 across the cards)
-Jimmy is with Lozano, who says Weedman is a bad MF'er. He thanks Weedman for such a great fight, and then says he is ready to keep fighting tonight. Just give him 15-minutes or so.
