TV CARD
-Jimmy Smith & Sean Wheelock are the announcers.

-They run down the tournament, which features no elbows to the head in the first round tournament matches, and who we will be seeing in the cage.

MIDDLEWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT: Sam Alvey (15-2) vs. Vitor Vianna (11-1-1)

ROUND ONE: They come out, touch and here we go. Both guys talked smack pre-fight about having better stand up, so I would assume an all stand up fight. They trade some leg kicks early, Alvey lands some jabs and then a high kick is checked. Alvey working jabs, mostly pawing ones, as well as some leg kicks and is controlling the pace. Alvey tagging Vianna with some decent shots here, Alvey chases and lands a combo as Vianna just backs off, no real counter striking. Vianna mostly dancing around, looking as he will counter, but never really engaging. Body kick from Vianna, and then a good leg kick. Combo by Alvey, leg kick as well. Vianna just waiting and getting hit, no countering. Vianna decides to shoot in, stuffed and they work along the cage. Vianna still working for a takedown, knee by Alvey, and the round ends.

SCORECARD: 10-9 Alvey.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins, they come out and Alvey working the pawing jab to begin. Vianna again not fighting with much urgency, and considering he claimed he would push the pace, all he is doing is eating jabs and some leg kicks. Jab by Vianna, but eats a straight left from Alvey. Another left by Alvey, leg kick follows and to the cage they go. Knees by Alvey now, controlling the clinch as they work along the cage. Vianna putting pressure on, but no striking to make it worth it. More knees from Alvey, Alvey turns Vianna and Vianna drops a level and finally gets Alvey down. Vianna into side control, transitions to the back for a moment but Alvey right to his feet, and he took no damage. Some knees by Vianna as he presses Alvey against the cage. Alvey escapes, they circle and leg kicks by Alvey. Left by Alvey. They trade a bit, Alvey lands another good left but Vianna takes him down again. Has his back standing, choke locked in but the bell saves Alvey.

SCORECARD: 19-19

ROUND THREE: Final round here, they come out and Alvey lands early. Good combo by Alvey, Vianna shoots, stuffed and to the cage they go. Vianna working for that takedown still, both working and not much happening as they work along the cage. Some body shots by Alvey, and they separate. Leg kick by Alvey, straight left again and Vianna's nose is bloodied a bit. Jabs and leg kicks by Alvey, and Vianna presses him to the cage. Vianna working for a takedown, and almost has it, but Alvey right back up. They separate, combo by Alvey. Working the straight left again, Vianna finally lands a few good lefts. Vianna shoots, to the cage and they separate. Leg kicks by Alvey, they trade a bit and the fight ends.

SCORECARD: Alvey 29-28

OFFICIAL RESULT: Vitor Vianna via SPLIT decision (29-28 Vianna, 29-28 Alvey, 29-28 Vitor Vianna)

-Jimmy is with Vianna. Vianna says that Alvey was in his face, and is a very tough guy. He came to fight and doesn't like the boos, and says it was a close fight.

MIDDLEWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT: Zelg Galesic (10-5) vs. Alexander Shlemenko (40-7)

ROUND ONE: And here we go with bout #2. They touch and Zelg tries a takedown, Shlemenko ends up on top and he lands good shots until eating an up kick. Shlemenko stands, lands more, leg kicks as well. He lets Zelg stand, body kick by Shlemenko. To the cage they go, some knees traded and Shlemenko looks for a guillotine. He has it standing, and Zelg taps!

OFFICIAL RESULT: Alexander Shlemenko via RD1 (1:55) submission

-Jimmy is with Shlemenko, who is happy with the win and wants to earn a rematch with Hector Lombard.

MIDDLEWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT: Victor O'Donnell (12-2) vs. Brian Rogers (7-2)

ROUND ONE: Both men are making their Bellator debuts. And here we go, Rogers begins with leg kicks. O'Donnell charges in, knees by Rogers and they work to the cage. They trade knees, and keep working and tying each other up. O'Donnell turns Rogers, they separate and O'Donnell with a counter that Rogers did not like. Head kick by O'Donnell checked, jabs by Rogers and O'Donnell shoots, stuffed. Knees by O'Donnell, Rogers tosses him to the cage, drops him with a right, follow up with ground and pound and that is all as the fight is stopped. O'Donnell is pissed about the stoppage. Rogers landed four hammer fists, but O'Donnell still looked to be defending. Questionable stoppage.

OFFICIAL RESULT: Brian Rogers via RD1 (1:56) TKO

-Jimmy is with Rogers. Rogers says that is how he wants to fight. Rogers asks for his time to shine, and respects O'Donnell. Stuff happens, but Goggle him, he drops bombs and fighters. He says they are both from Ohio, and they can bring the rematch there and fill the house. He wanted to make a statement tonight, and he did.

-Bjorn is here to talk about the night of fights thus far, as well as the new relationship with Spike.com.

-They air the following prelim bout. Ailton Barbosa def Ryan Keenan via Submission (RNC - Round 1, 1:55).

-SHAQ is in the house.

MIDDLEWEIGHT QUARTERFINAL BOUT: Bryan Baker (15-2) vs. Jared Hess (11-2-1)

ROUND ONE: And here we go with the main event of the evening. They come out, circle, and Baker will enjoy a 6-inch reach advantage. Jabs by Baker, Hess in and looks for a takedown, but they work to the cage. Baker fighting it off, but Hess grinds him down to the ground. Hess works for and is getting the back of Baker, looks for the choke, has the hooks in. Baker playing defense, Hess locks it in now but Baker rolls and escapes! Sweet. They work along the cage again, north south position now and then they battle to their feet. Back to the ground, Baker stacks him and lands some good shots. Baker in side control now, landing good rights but Hess to his feet. Wild right by Hess, who looks loopy. Knee to the body by Baker, then a right to the body. Anaconda choke by Baker, now into a modified guillotine and Hess is trying to fight it. Hess tries to cage walk, into side control and out of the choke. Some lefts by Hess, and he again tries for the back but Baker to his feet. North south position again as Baker sprawls, Baker locks in a choke but the bell saves Hess.

SCORECARD: Baker 10-9

ROUND TWO: Round two now, and Hess looks unstable on the feet. Leg kick by Baker, Hess shoots, stuffed and into north south. Hess with a nice escape, back to north south and Hess looks for the back. Baker rolling, Hess essentially school boys him and Baker looking for an omoplata, Baker rolls again and into north south. Back to the feet, they work along the cage and then Baker gets a hook in and Hess is down. Some light shots by Baker, Hess tries to roll but more strikes by Baker. Hess looks exhausted here and they work to their feet, and some lefts by Baker. Knees to the body follow, they separate and Hess throws a wild shot.
