I agree with Jon Jones, this is twice Evans has ruined his big night. Jones proved himself tonight in a big fight!
On a lighter note, a really humble Rampage Jackson! Its what I like to see after a fight! It takes a lot for a man to swallow his pride like that for admitting he was wrong about something!
I don't care what Rashad says about knowing Jon Jones weakness's. Jon Jones gets better all the time! I know this will have divided opinion, but I think Rashad has a lot to worry about. Jon Jones just finished Rampage, something that hasn't been done in the UFC!
On a side note! Congrats to Hunt for the win!

WAR BONES

Those HW fights were a joke, the prelims were more worthy of the PPV spotlight than either of those sloppy brawls.

Time to retire Rampage. It's over.
Posted By: MBD (Guest) on September 24, 2011 at 11:56 PM
Bones looked great and all, but i was really impressed with Rampage. His head movement was actually really good. The leg kicks are what killed him in this fight.

Jones and Valasquez both wrestled at Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge Ia. That program is the shit!

Jon Jones the new Fedor??
2 good wins on his record that he can stand buy
Rua and if your REALLY generous Jackson (though he is really a one dimensional fighter, old and his prime was a LONG time ago)
There are nothing but stiffs on his resume after that.
Bader might have been undefeated but he beat nobodies
Bonner is a gate keeper
Branden Vera...um yeah next
Matyushenko was 39 and not that good to begin with at this stage
Lets find him someone young in their prime instead of feeding him guys whose prime was many years ago, or who never had one to begin with.

Posted By: MBD (Guest) on September 24, 2011 at 11:56 PM
seriously? or are you just trolling? retire after a loss to the number 1 LHW in the world? A man with an 11 inch reach advantage! Perhaps the entire LHW division should retire then, FOOL!

" I agree with Jon Jones, this is twice Evans has ruined his big night. Jones proved himself tonight in a big fight!"
I think it made Jones come off as a bit whiny. Evans in both cases is doing what his employers told him to do. You really think he's going to show up for the fight in a suit and walk into the Octagon on his own? Let's be serious.
Posted By: Flying Dutchman (Guest) on September 25, 2011 at 09:01 AM
Evans will never lay a glove on Jones...same goes for the winner of Shogun/Hendo. Jones is gonna have a tough time finding a challenge at LHW unless Anderson Silva moves up. His future is at HW. Tell me you wouldn't wanna see jones vs ANY of the top 4 heavyweights....

jones came off like a child in the rashad thing 'youve spoiled my special night' really thats what youve got to say really.................really

Are you serious. Rampage won 2 fights against machida and hamil. Not only that but only lost what 2 fights out of his last 12 fight before jon jones and has never been finished before jon jones. The 2 lost that rampage lost wat distant from each other meaning he get better by lost. So I disagree and I think that Rampage still has it and Jon Jones is just that damn good. I do think that Rampage could of kick his legs and punch combination or he could of through some blows more.

Well Jones was working his way up the ranks. He is still very young in the sport. Most competitors don't get thrown to the sharks like Lesar did.
Posted By: Guest#6584 (Guest) on September 25, 2011 at 02:03 PM
Bones "Griffin'd" Rampage. That's how you beat a flat footed boxer. Kick the shit out of his lead leg to take the power and mobility down.
Evans won't have much better luck.
Hopefully Machida gets a good win for the next shot or, if he loses and Hendo beats Shogun, give Hendo a go. He will lose too, but it's a money fight before the big one vs Silva.
Posted By: MPMoore (Guest) on September 25, 2011 at 04:27 PM
Jones is awesome! I mean come on now, Silva has been unbeatable and u got unstoppable GSP under him and unstoppable Jones over him, Dana could u finally book the fight we all want to see...which is Silva vs. GSP or Jones

Well our of people in the UFC...
'
Evans would be impressive as he isn't over the hill and doesn't have a TON of mileage on him.
Would love to see him fight Mousasi but that probably won't happen.
There ya have it.
And say what you wasn't about Rampage he is still a one dimensional fighter. Your giving me Hamill and The dragon? Ok the Dragon was a good win, but he also had no idea how to deal with Jackson's power...NO IDEA.
And as far as Jones being the first one to finish him...someone needs to go to youtube and see what happened in his fight against Silva in pride. While your at it go check out the Rua fight too.
Jackson has been stopped before and in BRUTAL fashion.
