FADE IN: We jump right into John Dodson's training session. Dodson states that it's an odd state affairs seeing as Bedford is on his team and therefore able to watch him train. Bedford likes this match up. He thinks his size and wrestling will be too much for Dodson. He also wants to give him a throttling for being a snitch. Dodson is full of confidence. He says that for being a short person, he's got long arms. He adds that he will never be taken down again. He is determined to put a hurting on him.
OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN: Johnny Bedford vs. John Dodson
Dodson does a bit of showing off at the weigh ins.
At the house, Bedford swims and tries to clear his mind. He wants to keep emotion out of it and just win the fight. Dodson's gameplan is to punch Bedford in the mouth. He feels he can counter his skills by employing his superior Muay Thai technique.
Both fighters prepare for their fight. It's a battle of who can first and hardest. Bedford promises to knock the smile off of Dodson's face. Dodson simply says that he is the Miz and he's awesome.

Diego is sharpening a hatchet on a rock…alrighty then.
Bisping reminds us that Diego was his first pick and he's an absolute beast. Diego believes that once Caraway gets hit a few times he's going to shoot like Yosemite Sam. Diego is planning for that.
Caraway reminds us that he throws up before fights. Miller gives him a pep talk and implores him to make the best out of the opportunity he's been given. Miller feels he has that skills to counter Diego's raw power. Caraway says losing is the worst thing in the world. However, if just relaxes and enjoys himself he'll be fine.

OFFICIAL WEIGH-IN: Bryan Caraway vs. Diego Brandao
Ferguson remarks that Caraway looks scared to death, and with good reason. Bedford remarks that Diego has lost prior to being on the show and that he's very beatable. Bisping and Miller place a bet on it.
On the last night in the house the boys are throwing a beer bash. Mayhem shows up in his undies and rides his bike into the pool. Everyone is fratting it up…except Diego. Diego is annoyed because the party is distracting him from focusing on the fight ahead.
Diego smashes the door on the way to the cage.

Bryan Caraway vs. Diego Brandao
Round 1: Diego charges across the cage. He jabs, he kicks and then he blocks a takedown. Caraway tries again and gets nothing. Brandao steps in with a punch and Caraway puts him against the cage. Brandao gets away. They clinch again and release. Caraway lands a few light punches. Diego nearly kicks his leg off. He does it again and Caraway spins around. Diego lands a hook that stuns Caraway and follows with a knee to the face. Diego follows to the floor and pounds on him. Caraway stands up but Diego continues to batter him. He beats him from pillar to post and finally knocks him out! Seriously Brandao beat on him like he owed him money.
Winner by KO Diego Brandao
Dana White says the finalists are the best of the season. He's mighty impressed by the whole season.
Bisping and Mayhem face off. Bisping jaws at Mayhem and gets laughed at.
MY THOUGHTS
It was a small slice of heaven...OK it was a fine season, I'll say that much. Most of the fights were entertaining and the fighters were pretty interesting. Mayhem made a comment at the very end that kind of sums up my feelings towards the coaches which was, "I feel like my whole life has been leading up to beating down this one bully." I agree Mayhem, please do.
As fun as this season was I'm looking forward to a fresh start on FX next spring.
Until the finale this Saturday night on Spike (which I will be covering), be well be safe and behave!
For your convenience, here are the final matches to be featured this Saturday night:
Bantamweight Finals: TJ Dillashaw VS John Dodson
Featherweight Finals: Dennis Bermudez VS Diego Brandao
In addition, these fights have been added to show:
Dustin Pague vs. John Albert
Johnny Bedford vs. Louis Gaudinot
KEY: Fighters with name crossed out have been eliminated from the competition.
There were quite a few assholes this season, so does every season. I could care less who wins the Bantamweight fight, as I could care less about either guy. Even though Diego is crazy he has heart, which is cool. Mayhem looked like a good coach, so I hope he has some success in the UFC.

I enjoyed this season. Looking at the final 4 fighters, they were by far the most talented. But are any of them likable? Bermudez maybe? TJ if you are a team Alpha Male fan. Diego is crazy (but could be a beast). Dodson really rubbed me the wrong way - always trying to be funny but not making me laugh even once. Mayhem made the season for me. I wasn't a fan before, but I am now. Which in reality is more due to my dislike for Bisping. He plays the douche role well.

Hmm looks like Team Mayhem vs. Team Bisping for both sets of finals. Interesting.

That poor door. It deserves better.

Bedford deserves "Idiot of the night". Moron talked the whole time about how he was bigger and taller than Dodson. Yet he allowed that little shrimp to run and hit the whole fight. Your ass deserved to get knocked out. Next time when you have size use it.
