INTRODUCTION:

We are live at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada with final act of this season's The Ultimate Fighter!

FACEBOOK.COM PRELIMINARY MATCHES

Featherweight bout: Bryan Caraway (145lbs 15-6) vs. Dustin Neace (145.5lbs 23-17-1)

I don't know how I feel about Caraway coming out to "Push It" by Salt N Peppa…and no, the fact that he's dating Miesha Tate doesn't counteract his decision for this particular walk out music.

ROUND ONE: Both men start throwing strikes but neither can find the distance. Neither man providing an easy target for the other. Neace lands a body kick. Caraway lands a hook and then an uppercut. Caraway tries to land the big overhand right. Caraway lands a shot to the body. Caraway easily gets the takedown. Caraway works from half guard. Neace is defending well and locks up Caraway in a reverse triangle. He's hammering Caraway about the body. Caraway pulls his head free. Caraway takes Neace's back. He's not able to complete a submission.

SCORECARD: Caraway 10-9

ROUND TWO: Caraway throws a pair of hard leg kicks. Caraway counters Neace with a glancing left hook. Caraway continues to attack the lead leg of Neace. Caraway stays away from Neace's striking game and gets another double leg takedown. Caraway takes his back but Neace shrugs him off and presses him against the fence. Caraway escapes and retakes Neace's back. He goes for a rear-naked choke and finally gets it.

OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Bryan Caraway by submission (rear-naked choke) at 3:38 of round 2.

Now if only Miesha Tate gets the fight she wants against Sarah Kaufman at the January 7th Strikeforce event, then this will be a very happy couple.

Akira was supposed to fight Steven Siler her but he's injured so in will step Josh Clopton.

Featherweight bout: Josh Clopton (144lbs 6-0-1) vs. Steven Siler (146lbs 18-9)

ROUND ONE: Clopton circles on the outside and is the more aggressive of the two fighters. Siler nearly clips Clopton with a hook. Clopton clinches and presses him against the fence. Siler grabs a Muay Thai clinch and nails Clopton. They release and go back to the center. Siler kicks, Clopton catches but can't trip Siler. Siler clinches and delivers knees to the face of Clopton. Clopton for his part drives Siler against the fence. Siler throws Clopton to the ground but he bounces back up. Siler lands a head kick but Clopton pushes him against the fence again. Siler attempts a standing guillotine but Clopton gets out of Dodge. Straight right stuns Siler. A good left hook from Clopton and then another, which momentarily drops Siler. Clopton presses him against the fence again. Siler throws a series of strikes and Clopton retreats across the cage. Siler knees him and locks in a guillotine but runs out of time.

SCORECARD: Siler 10-9

ROUND TWO: Clopton resumes circling on the outside and clinching when Siler approaches. Clopton knees Siler in the body. Siler changes levels and goes for a single leg. He gives up and tags Clopton several times. Siler is kneeing and punching Clopton at will. Siler is kneeing Clopton repeatedly and Clopton has nothing for him. Clopton finally pulls himself together and puts Siler on his back. He delivers a few strikes for Siler's face. Clopton is in full guard. Siler stands up and resumes kneeing. Clopton lands a hard kick to the leg. An exchange of rights from both fighters. Siler grabs another Muay Thai clinch. Clopton has taken a lot of knees to the belly. Siler lands a straight right. Clopton's nose may be broken. Clopton charges forward and gets the takedown but lands in a guillotine.

SCORECARD: Siler 10-9

ROUND THREE: The fighters exchange strikes. Clopton goes for the takedown and Siler counters with a standing guillotine attempt. Clopton pulls his head out immediately and shoves Siler against the fence. Clopton takes Siler down. Clopton tries some shoulder strikes and misses entirely. Siler stands back up. Siler lands an uppercut and Clopton loses his mouthpiece. Clopton takes him down again. The problem here is that Clopton is doing anything with the top position. Siler is shutting down all of Clopton's offense. Clopton delivers a hammerfist and Siler stands up. Clopton charges forward, loses his mouthpiece, eats punches and lands with Siler against the fence. Siler lands a few more knees to end the round.

SCORECARD: Siler 10-9

OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Steven Siler by unanimous decision (29-28)X3

Here's a fun fact, the cornerman for Imani Lee and Charlie Rader last night XFC 15 also trained Josh "Taz" Ferguson. That said, I predicted Delorme wins here in the round table.

Delorme shifts his position and tightens up the triangle. Ferguson is still fighting. Delorme gives it up for a shoulder lock but Ferguson pulls out of danger. Taz gets a full mount. He somehow gets Delorme's back. He tries for an arm triangle. Delorme escapes and nearly gets arm barred. That was some good jiu jitsu there at the end.

Stiff jab from Ferguson, followed by another. Ferguson presses Delorme against the fence. Delorme puts Taz on his back.

Bisping looked pretty decent tonight. Not a fan of his. Miller looked pretty gassed. His striking was pretty rudimentary. If Bisping was to face Sonnen or Silva, he wouldn't get outta the first round. All in all, a very good show. Those lighter weight classes are fast and hell and fun to watch.

this exactly.. idiots go on and on about how he sucks just because they hate him... he is an asshole, but he is at least good as a fighter, he might not get flashy kos, but he keeps on winning and he actually fights smart by working their opponents over like he did to mayhem here and he finishes fights

I agree but I think part of why he doesn't get much respect, is because it's hard to get excited when he fights, not because he's boring but because you know there's no way he can get past Sonnen or Silva.

He will start getting respect when he doesn't throw head kicks to a downed opponent. Miller just looks horrible on his feet, for him to be in entertaining fights he has to face guys near his level, I'd like to see him vs Shields again.

Posted By: Guest#6000 (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 12:56 AM

Yes its true. People give bisping too much crap, he is a decent fighter. Is he a top level middleweight? well in a word, no. He wont be able to beat and high level middleweights, but is too good for alot of the middle tier middleweights. a hard position no doubt.

Tonight he looked good which was aided by Miller gassing after the first round, but thats not bispings fault at all.

So in short, yes michael bisping gets too much crap, but wins over Miller, Rivera, Miller, Akiyama, Jason Day, Kang, etc arent enough to get you a title shot, not when you have losses against everyone when you have stepped up in competition. Give him Sonnen, Munoz, Okami, and if he can beat any one of those, then maybe a shot

Posted By: john (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 02:35 AM

Who the hell was that Mayhem imposter? Man did Mayhem look bad or what? It looked like he didnt train or even have a game plan. Mayhem shouldve just took that kick to the head from MBisping when he was down. He wouldve won the fight. Nice show, enjoyed it like most TUF finale shows.

Posted By: TheR (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 02:49 AM

I could see Bisping beating Sonnen or Silva. He wouldn't be the worst opponent either has faced by a long shot. Bisping is actually pretty impressive, hate him, but he's a good-great fighter.

_____

Respect for what exactly? Beating Jorge after an illegal knee to the face, or wearing down a gassed out Miller? He lost to Wandy before that. Face it, homey, Bisping hasn't beaten ANYONE worthy.

I'll give him his boxing, and his leggy kicks and his thai plumb and knees and even his takedown defense. He has the attributes of a mixed martial artist, but dood, seriously, he will never break the top 5 at 185...ever.

The UFC is keeping him out of high level fights. He's a cash cow. It's obvious. If he gets a title fight EVER, I'll be surprised. I'd like to see him drop to 170 honestly. At 185, he passes but just passes.

Lol wouldn't get out of the first round against sonnen. Has sonnen ever finished someone in the first round. It would be a sprint to a decusion between those two pillow fists.

Posted By: Guest#3276 (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 10:24 AM

I'm one of Mayhem's Monkeys...and I see a long career for my man as a TV personality and successful coach.

I'll give Bisping props for a good fight and a classy speech afterwards, but at the same time, f' him for the head kick attempt while Miller was on his knee at the cage and whatever hooligan bs he was running that caused Mazzagatti to tell him to cut it out and go to his corner after round 2.

Fun night of fights overall. Featherweight final was insane! Quite a few players coming out of this season of TUF.

The illegal head kick missed and he may have simply been timing that for Miller getting off his knees. Glad it missed either way. Bisping lost a close decision to Rashad (at 205)and a close one to Wandy and then to Hendo. How are any of those bad losses? Maybe in some divisions he wouldnt be top 5 but come on, the MW Division is the shallowest division in UFC--outside of Silva and Sonnen you could make an argument for Bisping in any other Top 5 spot. Id say 4 right now. To the guy who wants him to drop to 170, Bisping is already cutting a lot for 185...no way he could make 170.

Brandao v Bermudez was an awesome fight. Apparently Sonnen v Munoz has been signed for the next Fox show so I guess we'll get to see Bisping fight Silva before the winners of both fights meet.

Posted By: Baron Skinny (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 12:36 PM

I take it everyone missed it when Bisping said he's not ready for a title shot yet?! It's a moot point, yes he wants one, as every fighter should, but he's also smart enough to know Silva would tear him a new one right now.

Posted By: Guest#4756 (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 02:03 PM

Bisping actually has a more impressive resume than sonnen right now if you just look at theirs wins and losses.

Posted By: Guest#4054 (Guest)  on December 04, 2011 at 02:47 PM

Good night of fights overall. The card was sort of under the radar so I wonder what kind of rating it will get. I imagine promotion and advertising will pick up a great deal once they get to Fox next year and move to FX and Fuel.

So we're idiots because we won't show respect to a "fighter" that kneed Rivera in the head when he was down and then acted like a little bitch after the fight and again tries to kick another downed opponent in the head? Fuck Bisping winning or losing. Don't act like you don't have fighters you talk crap about.

A bunch of damn hypocrites

You put Bisping up against the likes of Stann, Sonnen and Silva and he will get his ass kicked.

Bisping losses aren't terrible, and his wins aren't great. His is a gate keeper type that they are keeping near the top of the division by feeding him winnable fights. Who is the highest ranking person that he has defeated? I became a fan of Mayhem during the show, but when was he last relevant as a top level fighter. I would love to see Sonnen-Bisping. Sonnen would crush him.

Brandao-Bermudez was awesome. Great fight.

People who think Sonnen would "crush" Bisping are a little dillusional. Bisping has a great sprawl and has proven difficult to take down, and Sonnen's stand-up isn't as polished as Bisping's. Sonnen has lost to lesser fighters than Bisping before, yet Bisping has only lost to former Pride, Strikeforce, or UFC Champions. I think that stylistically that's a very interesting fight. Much more intriguing than Munoz/Sonnen in my opinion, though I'm hopeful that fight delivers. Since Bisping can likely have a quick turnaround, how about throwing him in there with Wanderlei again in a couple months to see if he can get that win back. Or maybe even toss him in there with Rich Franklin.

take it everyone missed it when Bisping said he's not ready for a title shot yet?! It's a moot point, yes he wants one, as every fighter should, but he's also smart enough to know Silva would tear him a new one right now.

He is waiting for Silva to retire before he goes for it. Once Silva retires the whole division opens up. You can say its smart cause then he will have a chance, but really every fighter should be some what delusional and think they can take on the champ.

Bisping likely won't be fighting Sonnen for a long while anyway. Sonnen is now fighting Munoz and there are other fights in mind for Bisping like Belcher, Maia, or Belfort.
