INTRODUCTION:
We are live at the Houston Arena Theater in Houston, Texas for another edition of Legacy Fighting Championship on HDNet Fights!
Michael "The Voice" Schiavello welcomes us to the show and introduces the card. Bas Rutten joins the broadcast, hot dog!
MAIN CARD MATCHES
Heavyweight bout: Rakim Cleveland (2-1) vs. Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis (5-2)
ROUND ONE: They rush each and throw strikes with reckless abandon. Cleveland throws Lewis to the mat. He fights out and puts Cleveland on his back. They stand up and immediately go back to the mat. Cleveland takes his back but Lewis stands up. He reverses and smashes Cleveland. He ends the round in mount, hammering on Cleveland.
SCORECARD: Lewis 10-9
ROUND TWO: Lewis starts with a kick. Cleveland grabs a Thai plum and delivers knees. Lewish tries for a takedown. Cleveland puts Lewis on his back and rains down hammerfists. Cleveland moves to side control. Cleveland softens up the belly with elbows. Lewis escapes and they are standing again. Cleveland nails him with the right hand. Cleveland gets a takedown and gets full mount. Lewis rolls through and puts Cleveland on his back before the round ends.
SCORECARD: Lewis 10-9
ROUND THREE: Lewis throws first. Lewis jabs and follows with a kick. Cleveland throws a lazy kick. Both men are exhausted. Lewis lands the right hand and follows through with a tackle. He smashes Cleveland against the fence and finishes him off.
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Derrick "The Black Beast" Lewis by TKO (strikes) at 1:28 of round 3.
Catchweight bout (150): Daniel Pineda (14-7) vs. Gilbert Jimenez (5-3-1)
ROUND ONE: Pineda comes out with the double jab. He presses Jimenez against the cage. Jimenez comes back and takes Pineda down. They scramble and Pineda ends up in side control. Pineda goes for an armbar. Jimenez defends and Pineda moves back to guard. Pineda is looking for a way to pass the guard. Jimenez stands up but Pineda puts him back down. Pineda is in half guard. Jimenez backhands him. Pineda tries for a toehold. Jimenez goes for a toehold of his own. They let go, scramble and Pineda briefly takes Jimenez' back. Jimenez ends the round trying to lock Pineda up in a guillotine.
SCORECARD: Pineda 10-9
ROUND TWO: Jimenez and Pineda trade a few glancing strikes until Jimenez just jacks him right upside his jaw. Pineda defends and keeps it standing. Jimenez continues to light up Pineda. Pineda counters with a series of strikes of his own. Jimenez moves in to strike and walks directly into a spinning back fist. Pineda just knocked Jimenez the BUCGAW out!
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Daniel Pineda by KO at 1:37 of round 2.
There's no cooler way to knock someone out than with the spinning back fist!
Welterweight bout: Jonathan "The Hulk" Harris (3-1) vs. Ricardo "The Hitman" Talavera (2-2)
ROUND ONE: Talavera immediately takes Harris to the ground. Harris flips over and Talavera takes his back. Harris stands up but Talavera is staying with him. Talavera plants a knee in his chest. Harris tries for a standing guillotine. Talavera defends and is pushed against the fence. The trade body shots against the fence. The ref stands them up. Talavera bull rushes Harris and tackles him, landing in half gurad. Talavera is looking for the kimura. Harris defends and attempts a triangle, but then lets it go. Talavera attempts and then loses a kne bar.
SCORECARD: Talavera 10-9
ROUND TWO: Harris smashes Talavera with, as Schiavello calls it, "a shot to the heart!" Ahem. Harris Has Talavera pressed against the fence and he's smashing elbows in to his body. Harris continues to pound on Talavera from guard. The ref stands them up and Harris takes Talavera back to the ground again. Talavera tries to escape and gets punched in the face. While Talavera tries to recover Harris puts him back on his duff. Talavera fights back but Harris lays into him and slams him down to end the round.
SCORECARD: Harris 10-9
ROUND THREE: Harris comes in, ducks a punch and knees Talavera. He ends the series with a takedown that leads to full mount. He's opened up Talavera's head. He's working on that cut now with strikes. Harris changes position to side mount and continues to smash his elbow into Talaver'a noodle. The ref finally saves Talavera from further damage.
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Jonathan "The Hulk" Harris (3-1) by TKO at 1:34 of round 3.
Bantamweight bout: Cody "Wolverine" Williams (2-0) vs. Steve "The Assassin" Garcia (7-5)
ROUND ONE: Williams comes out throwing jabs and combinations. After a brief collision, Williams presses Garcia against the fence. They take the fight back to the center. Williams throws a combination of kicks. Williams is scoring on Garcia at will. Williams is denied a takedown and so he resumes kicking Garcia. Williams plants a hard shot on the jaw and Garcia ties him up. Garcia tries to control Williams with the clinch but continues to eat more hard punches. Garcia reverses and puts Williams on his butt but Williams recovers and stands up. Williams tries a jumping knee. Garcia nails him coming in with a left hook and it's lights out for Mr. Williams.
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Steve "The Assassin" Garcia by TKO at 4:39 of round 1.
Catchweight bout (175): Jeff "The Executioner" Rexroad (4-1) vs. Larry "Tae Kwon" Crowe (5-1)
ROUND ONE: Crowe is sticking the jab. Rexroad lands an inside leg kick. After a bit of circling Redroad kicks Crowe right in the groin. After a break, Crowe resumes jabbing. Rexroad throws a high kick, misses, slips and Crowe jumps on him. Crowe suplexes him but Rexroad escapes. Rexroad is coming forward but he's unable to land anything because Crowe is circling away. Crowe lands a leg kick. And Crowe gets his receipt, punting Rexroad in the nuts. Crowe skins Rexroad with a front kick. Crowe lands a stiff left. He tries to finish him off but Rexroad gets out of Dodge. Rexroad lands a knee to the face and Crowe ties him up. He let's go and they take the center before the round ends.
SCORECARD: Draw 10-10
ROUND TWO: The resume exchange single strikes. They attack each others leg. Crowe ducks and attempts a double doesn't complete it. Rexroad dives forward and Crowe locks him up in the guillotine. Rexroad tries to get free but Crowe hangs on. Rexroad forces his shoulder in to the throat of Crowe, which forces him to let go of the guillotine. Rexroad takes his back. Rexroad goes for a rear-naked choke. Crowe scrambles and sticks his head in a guillotine. Crowe escapes and stands up. Crowe is really tired now. They are both jabbing now but neither is connecting with much.
SCORECARD: Rexroad 10-9
ROUND THREE: Rexroad is stalking Crowe. Crowe continues to circle away. Crowe attacks the leg. Crowed catches a hook to the nose after a front kick. Both men are swinging wildly. Crowe puts his hands on his knees, showing how gassed he is. Rexroad takes an accidental thumb in the eye. Crowe attacks the lead leg. Rexroad throws a ton of strikes, most of which miss. Crowe shoots for a double and gets it. Rexroad locks in a triangle and moves to an armbar. That's all she wrote!
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER – Jeff "The Executioner" Rexroad by submission (armbar) at 4:48 of round 3.

MAIN EVENT MATCH
Welterweight Title bout: Champion Jorge Patino (25-13-1) vs. Mike "The Greek" Bronzoulis (13-3-1)
ROUND ONE: Patino comes forward with a high kick. The Greek is looking for an opening but Patino is lighting him up. Bronzoulis lands hard leg kick. He follows with a spinning head kick, which misses and nearly falls over. Patino shoots and presses Bronzoulis against the cage. He finally gets the single leg. Patino lands in half guard. Patino slides his leg over and gets full mount. Patino looks to posture up and pound on The Greek. He smashes some elbows into Bronzoulis' face. The Greek escapes and they resume standing. Patino jumps forward and lands a knee ot the face. One more clinch and that's the round.
SCORECARD: Patino 10-9
ROUND TWO: Patino with the one-two. Patino is throwing haymakers. He throws a pair of kicks. Patino shoots for a double. After a pause he gets him down. Patino is in half guard again, pounding on The Greek. They are stalled so the ref stands them up. Patino shoots and takes Bronzoulis' back. He goes back to the leg and then lets him go. Patino shoots for another single leg. Patino can't get it done so back to the middle the go. They exchange kicks.
SCORECARD: Patino 10-9
ROUND THREE: The Greek has finally woken up and is throwing kicks. Patino counters with kicks of his own. Patino rushes Bronzoulis and tries to throw him down. Patino is trying to trip him down but Bronzoulis rolls forward in an attempt to rid himself of Patino. Patino sticks with him and retakes his back. They stand and Patino drops him. Bronzoulis stands and eventually Patino lets him go. Patino has his head buried in Bronzoulis' belly but he's taking a ton of elbows to the deltoid and head. Bronzoulis knocks Patino down. The Greek stands over Patino, delivers a bomb and then the round ends.
SCORECARD: Bronzoulis 10-9
ROUND FOUR: The Greek is coming forward now, looking for the KO. Bronzoulis lands a hard high left round kick flush on the cheek. Bronzoulis is jabbing and scoring on Patino. Patino throws some sloppy strikes and then tries to pull guard. Nothing doing, they stand back up. Bronzoulis continues to break Patino down. Lots of wind being generated from the wild haymakers that are not finding their targets. Bronzoulis delivers a vicious front kick and follows up with some brutal strikes before the round ends.
SCORECARD: Bronzoulis 10-9
ROUND FIVE: Bronzoulis tries to press his advantage but Patin wakes back up and chases The Greek to the other side of the cage. Patino tries for a takedown. They exchange strikes. Patino bum rushes The Greek again. Patino finally gets him down and lands in side control. Patino takes his back. Patino works for a rear-naked choke. The Greek escapes and we've run out of time.
SCORECARD: Patino 10-9
OFFICIAL RESULT: WINNER AND STILL CHAMPION – Jorge Patino by unanimous decision (49-46).
