KEY: Fighters with name crossed out have been eliminated from the competition

Last week we saw Chris Tickle take the fight to Joe Proctor for the better part of the first round, only for Proctor to take him down and lock in a rear naked choke late in the round. Tickle had no choice but to submit with only 18 seconds left in the round. We also saw some bad blood between Team Cruz teammates Justin Lawrence and Mike Rio, and the continued verbal jousting of Dominick Cruz and Urijah Faber.

FADE IN: Vinc Pichel and John Cofer arrive at the training center to the cheers of their teams, we get a recap of last week, with Cruz saying that Tickle dominated 98% of the round and then didn't listen, and Faber saying they wanted Proctor to weather the storm and then work his ground game. Faber thinks Pichel has terrible takedown defense, while Cofer is a Division 1 wrestler who he thinks can win with his grappling. Cruz is happy with the fight selection and says he would've picked the same match-up. Standard video intro, and here we go.

We see Team Faber celebrating and Cruz telling Tickle what he did wrong (namely, not listening). Tickle, to his credit, admits that Cruz was right and he needed to listen. Cruz goes off on Tickle for not listening and says that he's not there to be on TV, he's there to "fricking win". Faber steps in to praise Tickle, which gets under Cruz's skin and Cruz is clearly upset and allows Faber to get to him. Cruz apologizes to Tickle for saying that he had no heart, and Cruz says he wants Tickle to come back as a better fighter, and Tickle says that he wants to fight in the UFC and he's not giving up.

Michael Chiesa says Cruz handled things the wrong way and Team Faber turns to pumping up John Cofer. Cofer says he's looking to make it four in a row against one of Cruz's tougher guys, and he doesn't care who it would've been, he's just ready to fight.

Ogle working out by himself in the backyard, talking himself up and shadowboxing. Back on the patio, Ogle tells Sam Sicilia and Justin Lawrence that he was stretching and meditating because he had the worst nightmare ever, about his girlfriend getting killed and the cops being involved and then he just woke up. Lawrence and Sicilia agree that it's awful and that they have so much time for their minds to play tricks on them.

Team Faber training session, and Faber tells Saunders that even though Saunders wants to fight Rio, he wants Saunders to fight Sicilia. Faber says Saunders was the last pick of the show, but he doesn't understand why because he's got good stand-up and takedowns, and then switches to talking about how Ogle has a great attitude and is willing to learn, but sometimes he gets down on himself. Faber realizes something is off with Ogle, who then proceeds to throw up in the bathroom. Faber goes to check on him and then says he thinks the best thing to do is just let the guy cool down. Ogle says his body's breaking down so his mind's breaking down and he's crying and it seems like he's just completely psyched himself out. Faber waited 25 minutes to talk to Ogle, who was still worked up. Faber gives Ogle the rest of the day off and Ogle jokes around a bit before leaving.

We see Pichel stretching and Cofer getting his hands taped up with 21 minutes until fight time, and Anik pimps the social media and then the website as they show Brittney Palmer's cleavage looking at an iPad with the website on it. Pichel says his nickname "From Hell" is from his mom because he was a hellraiser and was always getting into trouble. Pichel says he came from a bad neighborhood with people getting shot and he couldn't go out a lot and be a real kid, so he got into fights and went to jail. He didn't tell his mom right away when he started training MMA because she would've just said he'd end up in jail, so after he had some success, he told her, and she's been very supportive. Cruz wants Pichel to stuff the takedown, stuff the takedown, stuff the takedown, and Pichel did a good job of either stuffing the takedown or getting back up quickly, and he says he's not going to let the judges decide the outcome since he's never done that in a pro fight.

We also see Sam Sicilia struggling in training and getting frustrated, but Cruz says he needs to keep Sicilia confident but struggling, so that he's at a happy medium. Sicilia says he nearly hit a breaking point and he almost wanted to get up and punch somebody. Sicilia talks about how he wants to look good because he was the number two pick for Team Cruz and Cruz says he doesn't need to put those expectations on himself because he's there to learn and he's going to be a stud. Sicilia comes out of it feeling better, and he and Chiesa talk about upcoming fights, and Andy Ogle and Chris Saunders talk about how they don't necessarily trust Chiesa but Team Purple is bugging them.

Back with a Team Faber training session and we actually see Cofer working out this time, and he talks about how he wrestled all through school and college and how wrestling taught him discipline. Faber says he's not the most dangerous guy, he doesn't have the knockout power, but he's pretty good at jiu jitsu, pretty good at wrestling, and he's a pretty good all-around fighter. Faber says Pichel is going to be looking to knock Cofer's head off, and he wants to avoid that and score takedowns. Cofer says he knows he's got his work cut out for him and it's going to be a war. Ogle confronts Chiesa about Team Purple and Chiesa says he's loyal to Sam, but that's friendship and doesn't entail telling Sam information – that it's Sam's job to figure it out. Ogle decides to suck it up and take Chiesa at his word.

Time for the weigh-ins, and Pichel is up first. Jeremy Larsen says Pichel is huge and strong, and he weighs in at 254. Larsen thinks Pichel will run through Cofer. Chiesa says Pichel is going up against his fellow "Hillbilly Heartthrob" and Cofer is going to win because it's a good match-up, that he's got unorthodox stand-up and D1 wrestling. Cofer weighs in at 156 and Chiesa says he thinks it'll be a war but Cofer will win. Cofer says he's going to need everything he has to win, and Pichel says he knows Cofer isn't going to stand with him, but if he does, it's brave but ill-advised. Cofer says he's there to win and he's there to fight in the UFC and Pichel says again that he won't let the judges decide this fight.

Dana pulls the guys aside and tells them that in one week, they'll officially have been in the Ultimate Fighter longer than anyone has ever been, and it's only going to get harder from there. Every other word from Dana is bleeped, but he basically tells them that some people are going to have other ideas and that's fine, but for those who want to stay, suck it up and work harder and that they'll be better fighters and better men when they leave.

Back live as Pichel is getting taped and Cruz gives him last minute advice about working on the ground against Cofer. Faber tells Cofer it's not about rushing, it's about working his game. Anik pimps the Facebook poll, and we go to commercial, as it's very nearly fight time. Pichel and Cofer get Vaseline and Anik breaks down the rules of the Octagon (three judges, two five minute rounds with a third sudden victory round if necessary, 10 point must system, and the scoring criteria). Pichel out first, followed by Cofer, and we get the Tale of the Tape and both guys are nearly identical, with Pichel two years older. Brittney Palmer is the Octagon girl and we're underway.

Lightweight bout: Vinc Pichel (Team Cruz) vs John Cofer (Team Faber)

Round 1: Pichel comes forward swinging but Cofer avoids nicely. Cofer comes forward with punches but eats some from Pichel. Cofer keeps coming forward and he catches a counter kick from Pichel and looks for the takedown, but Pichel defends. Pichel working the jab, but Cofer lands a nice combination. Cofer getting in and out with his shots and Pichel really only landing jabs. They trade head kicks that miss and Cofer comes forward again. Pichel leaps into a combination but Cofer easily avoids. Pichel misses another head kick, then throws a punch body kick combination and the body kick lands. Pichel keeps chasing Cofer but landing nothing and Cofer lands a nice knee in close and then follows it up with a decent combination, only to dance out of Pichel's range yet again. Pichel keeps looking for the big punch, but Cofer keeps scoring points. Pichel finally looks to be measuring Cofer up, but Cofer is still getting the better of the exchanges. Pichel finally lands some shots, but Cofer still gets the best of the exchange. Cofer looks for the takedown but Pichel again defends and they trade on the way out. Pichel now waiting for Cofer to come in but only enjoying marginally more success. Cofer manages to catch two consecutive kicks but still can't get the takedown and Pichel finally lands three of four good shots as the round ends, one of which looked like it might've momentarily stunned Cofer, who did a really nice job of composing himself and managed to catch a knee from Pichel as the round ended.

Scorecard: Cofer, 10-9

Round 2: They trade on the feet, Pichel slips but quickly recovers. Pichel lands another punch that stuns Cofer, but he recovers again and they trade. The action stops so Cofer can put his mouthpiece back in and they leap right back into it. Pichel landing more than Cofer in this round, but as I type that, Cofer with a nice combination of his own. Cofer with a nice counterpunch, but then Pichel gets him right back. Cofer looks for the takedown but Pichel defends well and Cofer ends up with a rear waistlock against the cage. Cofer kneeing Pichel's thigh and Pichel elbowing Cofer's arm. Pichel uses a switch to get free and then he looks for a takedown of his own. Cofer looks for the guillotine, then lets it go, only to lock it in again and then grab Pichel's leg. Pichel drives forward and picks Cofer up, but Cofer locks the guillotine in, only to get slammed. Cofer releases it and Pichel is on top, but he's having a hard time doing anything, as he's got Cofer mounted in reverse. Pichel punching backwards at Cofer's head and occasionally throwing a body punch in. Now Pichel teeing off on Cofer's body and Cofer tries to roll free as the round ends.

Scorecard: Pichel, 10-9 (19-19 overall)

I'm guessing we go three rounds here, but Anik doesn't seem to think so, so it'll be interesting to see who wins…my money's on Cofer if they don't go to a third round. We do have a third round – nice!

Round 3: Pichel misses a few punches and then starts to land and he pins Cofer against the cage and takes him down again but Cofer is looking for the guillotine. Pichel mounts Cofer momentarily, then moves into side control with a head and arm choke and Cofer taps out!

Official Result - Winner: Vinc Pichel, Submission (Head and arm choke, 0:44, Round 3)

Anik is with Pichel, and Vinc says Cofer is a tough dude and he tought he was going to pick Cofer apart and Cofer caught him and when his gameplan failed, he went for broke. Pichel says he was glad to have 100% takedown defense and he thanks his coaches. Cofer says losing is a tough pill to swallow but his hat's off to Vinc. Says Pichel rocked him late and that was the fight. We see a replay of Cruz during the choke and then Pichel celebrating, and Anik is with Dana, who says that's what the fights are about, that they fought like they wanted, and the judges did a good job, and that he loved it. On to the fight pick, and Cruz is happy for the much-needed win and he chooses Sam Sicilia to take on Chris Saunders. Dana wishes them luck, Anik signs off, and that's it for another week! Great fight.
