  • Feel free to send in your thoughts on the show! If you do, please include your BEST and WORST fight, and score the PPV from 0-10!

ShowXC Elite Challenger Series Vol. III:

-From The Chumash Casino in California!

-Al Bernstein welcomes us to the show. Stephen Quadros is along side with him.

-They are back to using a smaller cage. That annoys me as they should use a universal cage size. I can see SHOWXC using a smaller cage, like WEC, but they have had three cards and one small, one large and one small again. Some uniformity would be appreciated.

-We get a video package for Corbbrey vs. McMaster.

  • LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT - Mushin Corbbrey (11-2-1NC) vs. Bobby McMaster (8-1):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: They come out and jab a bit. A combo by Corbbrey, Bobby shoots and they go against the cage and break. Leg kicks by Corbbrey, Bobby shoots in and they go to the cage again and tries to work some knees and pulls Corbbrey down. He has Corbbrey against the cage and works some body shots. Corbbrey kicks off the cage and Bobby stands and drops down with a clean right. More body shots as Corbbrey looks for an arm bar. Bobby lands more clean shots on Corbbrey and then more shots to the ribs. Bobby controls from the top and is landing a good amount of shots. Corbbrey has a mall cut over the right eye already and Bobby is having success in the guard. He stands and rains down with some clean shots. Corbbrey has no answer right now as Bobby continues to land shots, but they are stood up. VERY questionable there, hell not questionable they were working. To the feet and a good combo by Bobby, clinches and Corbbrey gets a hip toss takedown, north south now and a guillotine is on standing, Bobby is down and taps before the end of the round. Wow.

-The Result: Mushin Corbbrey via RD 1 (4:59) Submission

Stephen Quadros is with Mushin Corbbrey. Corbbrey knew it would be a tough fight. He thanks his sponsors. He says his Judo helped a lot in getting the takedown, which led to the guillotine. MYSTERY TROPHY TIME! Corbbrey should have thanked Herzog for the stand up, which was bullshit.

-We get a video on Aaron Rosa. He trained with Tito for the Liddell fight, and Tito took a liking to him.

-We get a video package for Jennifer Tate vs. Shayna Baszler.

  • WOMEN'S 135lb BOUT - Jennifer Tate (4-0) vs. Shayna Baszler (9-4):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Baszler with rights to begin. Tate with kicks and Baszler gets a takedown. In half guard now, then into side control and then gets mount. She slaps on an arm bar and that is all!

-The Result: Shayna Baszler via RD1 (0:44) Submission

Stephen Quadros is with Shayna Baszler. Baszler says she expected her to come hard, but she has matured and this allowed her to adjust and get the arm bar. MYSTERY TROPHY TIME~!

-We get a video package for Malaipet vs. Kaleo Kwan.

  • LIGHTWEIGHT BOUT - Malaipet (2-1) vs. Kaleo Kwan (8-6):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Cecil Peoples is the official. Everyone loves Cecil. They come out and circle, leg kicks by Malaipet. A good jab by Kwan but eats another leg kick by Malaipet. More leg kicks by Malaipet. Kwan is holding his hands low, but Malaipet keeps the leg kicks coming. A good hook blocked by Kwan, Malaipet with more kicks to the leg and ribs. Malaipet keeps being the aggressor with the leg kicks. Overhand left connects with Malaipet along with another leg kick. Malaipet is single shotting and lands a high kick. Kwan needs to take this to the ground. Kwan with a left hook, straight kick blocked and a good body kick by Malaipet, Kwan almost caught the leg but Malaipet escapes. More leg kicks by Malaipet, he keeps with single shots but is hitting clean and dominating. A nice right by Malaipet and another leg kick. Kwan gets some good jabs but not much else. Malaipet keeps landing hard leg kicks and then a body kick. Kwan with a couple good jabs, but Malaipet rocks and buckles Kwan. Malaipet unloading with rights and kicks again. Kwan covers up and weathers the storm and the round ends.

-LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Malaipet dominated with great leg kicks that are surely taking the toll on Kwan. Malaipet gets the round 10-9. I could see 10-8 actually. Tito and his head are in attendance tonight.

-ROUND TWO: Round two begins and Malaipet with a hard body kick to kick things off. They dance and more leg kicks by Malaipet. Kwan is being picked apart and needs to try and get this to the ground. A high kick by Malaipet lands. More body kicks and Malaipet catches a kick and sweeps Kwan. Malaipet steps back and wants to keep it standing, which is smart. Kwan lands a good combo, some more jabs and Malaipet back to the leg kicks. Malaipet back with the body kick. Malaipet keeps his distance and is able to pick Kwan apart with the kicks, it is repetitive but is working well. Kwan lands a few more jabs and tries a clinch and backs Malaipet off. They exchange standing and Malaipet is stunned a bit. An uppercut by Kwan lands, Malaipet back with the high kick to back off Kwan. More leg kicks by Malaipet, they keep landing and sounding loud, showing he still has power as the fight goes on. He is buckling Kwan with the leg kicks. Malaipet I seating more jabs this round, but Malaipet is dominating as the round ends.

-LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Basically more of the same, Malaipet gets the second round 10-9.

-ROUND THREE: KJ Noons is in attendance and I hope he beats Nick Diaz's ass. Round three begins and they dance and Malaipet back to the leg kicks. Malaipet with some jabs now to mix it up and then a FLYING KNEE lands! They trade combos, and Malaipet barely misses a high kick. Jabs by Kwan, and the leg kicks are back by Malaipet. Kwan finally charge sin with a combo and lands more form the inside, but Malaipet separates and is back to the leg kicks. Malaipet is just chopping Kwan down with the kicks. Kwan FINALLY shoots in, Malaipet sprawls and then escapes. Kwan lost his mouthpiece and they stop to get it back in. Back to action and we're under two minutes left in the fight. Kwan throws wildly and misses, straight kick by Malaipet. Superman punch misses by Malaipet, and Kwan lands more jabs. They both jab a bit back and forth and Malaipet back with body kicks. Three straight leg kicks and how Kwan is walking I will never know. FLYING KNEE by Malaipet again! Leg kicks by Malaipet, combo by Kwan and that's the round.

-LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Kwan worked harder there, but I will go Malaipet 10-9 and 30-27 overall.

-The Result: Malaipet via Unanimous Decision (30-26, 30-27, 30-27)

Stephen Quadros is with Malaipet. He says his low kick was important. He always uses the flying knee in Muay Tai, and just brought it here. MYSTERY TROPHY TIME~!

-We get a video package for Vazquez vs. Pennington.

  • 150lbs CATCH WEIGHT BOUT - Javier Vazquez (11-2) vs. JC Pennington (14-3-1D):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Herzog is back, watch out! Jabs by Vazquez to begin. He is married into the Gracie family apparently. Vazquez shoots and slams JC spinebuster style. He works for side control, but stands and lands a SICK LEFT and into side control, mount now and then gets the back of JC and gets the rear naked choke and JC taps. HUMBLED~!

-The Result: Javier Vazquez via RD1 (1:15) Submission

Stephen Quadros is with Javier Vazquez. Vazquez says he has had ups and downs. Elite XC gave him a shot, but as of tonight he is retiring. He has a wife and kid and wants to concentrate on coaching. Quadros is shocked at this. He walks us through the replay. Vazquez says he just feels that it is time, it is becoming too much like a job apparently. MYSTERY TROPHY TIME~!

-Saturday November 10th is the next ELITEXC show with KIMBO SLICE~!

-Quadros is with KJ Noons, who will face Nick Diaz at that show for the vacated title. Noons said he saw Nick's last fight, and he had an off day but a lot of good days. Noons has negative charisma.

-We get a video package for Aaron Rosa vs. Jaren Hamman.

  • LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT BOUT - Aaron Rosa (10-0) vs. Jared Hamman (9-0):

-The Fight: ROUND ONE: Tito is in Rosa's corner. Leg kicks by Hamman to begin. They both throw a bit wild, Hamman is down and back up now. Hamman shoots, Rosa sprawls and Hamman gets a slow single leg. Rosa tries a heel hook, Hamman into side control and now half guard. He gets full mount and starts to get hammer fists on Rosa. Rosa rolls, but Hamman gets his back and the legs hooked. Rosa defends the choke well, Hamman lands a lot of light shots and Rosa stands and escapes. A good right by Rosa, body shots follow and against the cage they go. Great knees and a nice combo by Rosa. Hamman shoots and Rosa almost gets a choke from it. Hamman slams Rosa down. Hamman in full mount, Rosa escapes and Hamman stands and then dives back in. Half guard and elbows by Hamman. He stands again and back in, Rosa should be grabbing the arm there because it is wide open. Hamman back in, stands and they get stood up. A good left hook by Rosa. They clinch and Hamman pulls Rosa down. Rosa stands and lands a good shot. They stand and Rosa shoots, but Hamman stops that. They clinch and round one ends.

-LARRY'S SCORE CARD: Hamman controlled with good takedowns and had Rosa in trouble, and will easily take the round 10-9.

-ROUND TWO: Hamman starts with a takedown and into the guard of Rosa. Hamman works a lot of shots, elbows and Rosa tries to control his head. Hamman stands and Rosa with up kicks. Hamman back in, side control and could have had a key lock but let it go. Knees to the body by Hamman and then more elbows. Rosa is taking a ton of punishment. Hamman now sinks in a rear naked choke and that is all!

-The Result: Jared Hamman via RD2 (1:46) Submission

Stephen Quadros is with Hamman. He says Rosa was a tough fight and he is tired. He was able to throw him, he doesn't know exactly why it came easy to him, but he just worked hard. He walked us through the replay of the choke. He thanks God and his team. MYSTERY TROPHY TIME~!

-Bernstein and Quadros run down the events of the night.
