Tommy vs. Ben, Team Serra plays a prank, and the semi-final fights are set.

The Ultimate Fighter 6: Team Hughes vs. Team Serra
Episode 11

Previously: Mac doesn't like Richie and Tommy and Ben won in the first round but both suffered cuts.

Opening Video

We get a recap of Matt vs. Troy where Matt took down Troy and defeated him by arm bar. They also recap George vs. Richie, a submission victory for George.

At the Team Serra training session, we see Ben working on his stand up game. Serra expects Ben to just pick apart Tommy. Serra teaches Ben some submissions from his back, knowing Tommy's game is to score takedowns.

Jared notes that Tommy's face is FUCKED UP! Mac says that he wouldn't fight with that type of cut because it could be career ending if it opens back up. Everyone suspects that Tommy may not be able to fight and they're ready to step up if called upon.

Tommy gets his stitches out and he says the commission cleared him to fight. We get clips of Tommy preparing for Ben and his kicks.

At the house, Team Serra is drinking, which always leads to something bad on the show. The guys begin smashing into walls, throwing around chairs, throwing other items, and just doing dumb shit. Speaking of shit, Jon decides to take a shit in the upper part of the Team Hughes toilet.

Team Hughes gets back to the house and Richie is laughing very annoyingly. Mac calls out Richie on his laugh and Richie tells him to bring it. Mac gets in Richie's face but is held back by Dorian. Richie thinks Mac is all bark and no bite.

Billy is the guy who discovers the prank as he is the first one to flush the tainted toilet. Billy goes to Mac to tell him. Mac gets up and seems calm. Billy tells the rest of the team about the prank. Jared gets PISSED!

Jared gets down the Team Hughes bedroom door and goes after Jon. The guys come in to separate them. Mac goes after Richie but is held back.

Jon and Troy clean up their mess after smoothing things over with Jared. Please don't tell me that was the end of it because after all the hype on the previews, that SUCKED!

At the weigh ins, Tommy comes in at 171 pounds and Ben comes in at 170 pounds. Dana says that he can't pick a winner in this fight.

The day of the fight, Ben woke up a bit under the weather. He took some medicine, went back to bed, and woke back up feeling a bit better.

In the locker room before the fight, Ben had sinus problems that affected his breathing.

Quarterfinal Fight: Tommy Speer (Team Hughes) vs. Ben Saunders (Team Serra)

Round 1: Ben gets the clinch right away and lands knees to the body. They go against the cage and Tommy scores with a takedown. Tommy is in the guard of Ben. Ben goes for a triangle but is slammed down. Ben works and gets an arm bar that looks tight but Tommy doesn't tap. Tommy gets out and he's back on Ben's guard. Both guys throw strikes but Tommy does more damage from the top. Tommy stands and comes down with a big strike. The round ends with Tommy in Ben's guard. Close round that Tommy probably won just because he was on top the whole time although Ben was more active from the bottom.

Round 2: Tommy takes Ben down early in the round but Ben is quick to get up. Tommy keeps a hold of Ben and takes him right back down. Tommy does very little from the guard of Ben. Ben goes for an arm bar and gives up his back but quickly rolls back into guard. Tommy continues to do almost nothing with the position. The ref finally stands them up. Ben goes for a flying knee as Tommy shoots but misses and Tommy is back in the guard of Ben. Ref is quick to stand them up this time. Another takedown by Tommy and he's in Ben's guard as the round ends. Again Tommy just took Ben down and held him down for most of the round. Ben wasn't as active from the bottom this time and I think Tommy easily took it.

We get the fight recap before the decision is announced. Everyone thought it was over when Ben locked in the arm bar. Dana puts over the heart of Tommy. Rest of the round was all Tommy. The second round was all Tommy as well.

Winner – Tommy Speer by Unanimous Decision

Tommy is upset that he didn't finish Ben. Hughes is very happy that he's got 2 guys in the semi-finals.

Serra thought Ben did very well. Ben isn't using his sickness as an excuse and gives Tommy credit.

Hughes, Serra, and Dana meet in the locker room to pick the semi-final fights. Serra does all the talking during the meeting and Hughes is happy with the match ups, despite not saying a word.

Semi-Final Fights:

*Mac vs. Matt
*Tommy vs. George

Hughes thinks both of his guys are going to win, Serra thinks both of his guys are going to win.

Next Episode: Both semi-final fights and THE BIGGEST KNOCKOUT OF THE SEASON! George or Tommy won't be able to fight in the semi-finals. OH SNAP!

Show Thoughts: They hyped up the in house fight during the promos all week and in the end, there was really no in house fight. The actual fight this week was pretty boring with Tommy doing very little to finish. Next weeks show looks very intriguing and I can't wait to watch and recap it.
