411's IFL New Blood, New Battles II Report 04.04.08
Posted by Randy Harrison on 04.04.2008

We're in the proverbial armpit of America, the swamplands of New Jersey and we are LIVE!!! Three big title fights headline the IFL's second card of 2008. Four more fight camps prepare to participate in the new camp vs. camp format the IFL has adopted for this season and 411mania.com has you covered as Jay Hieron, Wagnney Fabiano and Vladimir Matyushenko prepare to defend their newly-won IFL Championships!

Ron Kruck and Bas Rutten welcome us to the IZOD Center, formerly known as the Continental Airlines Arena, formerly known as the Brendan Byrne Arena, formerly known as the home of the fabled Jersey Devil, and Rutten is looking forward to seeing Lierley/Fabiano and gives us a little breakdown, as well as a quick look at Hieron/Miller. Bas doesn't see them going the distance. Kruck talks about the new camp vs. camp format and they break down the Midwest Combat vs. Gracie Academy match-up. Rutten says that Gracie's team focuses on submissions, while the Midwest team focuses on striking, which sets up the classic MMA match-up. They also talk about Chris Horodecki and how he's going to have to rebound from his devastating loss last fight. Remember the IFL features four-minute rounds, instead of the usual five minutes in every other MMA organization.

Match One : Lightweights
Chris Horodecki (11-1, 7-1 IFL) vs. Nate Lamotte (6-2, 0-0 IFL)

Horodecki is coming off of the first loss of his career in the IFL Lightweight Championship match against Ryan Schultz, so it will be interesting to see how he responds and steps his game up after such a crushing defeat. We know what Horodecki brings to the table as he has speed and lots of power in his hands. Lamotte is stepping up to the big time, with this fight being his first out of the smaller levels of MMA, as his career up to this point has been contested mostly in New Jersey and New England. He comes in with a three-fight winning streak and will try to continue it against the talented and dangerous Horodecki. Horodecki is disgusted with himself after the loss and he's hungry to compete again. He says that he knows where he has to improve and that he's going to come out on top, no matter what. He feels recharged and he says he's coming for the KO.

Round One

Referee Dan Miragliotta gets things underway and they circle to start with Horodecki flicking out a couple of jabs before they exchange and move to a clinch against the ropes. Knee up the middle to the stomach by Lamotte and Horodecki answers with one of his own. A deep double-leg from Lamotte gets sprawled out of by Horodecki and they continue to trade knees from the clinch. Lamotte gets a short right that lands and they exchange more punches, with Horodecki landing another knee from inside the clinch. They separate and circle with Horodecki landing a good right hook and a body kick that both land. Solid leg kick from Horodecki and a HARD body shot lands for him as Lamotte just misses with a right cross. Inisde leg kick from Horodecki and a GOOD left hook to the body before he catches a Lamotte leg kick and throws a punch over it. Overhand right glances off of Lamotte's face and he follows it up with a good one-two combo and a body kick. Lamotte gets a jab that is countered with a HARD outside leg kick. Body kick lands for Horodecki and Lamotte moves into a clinch, taking Horodecki's back while they stand against the ropes and the round comes to a close. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 Horodecki for the ring control and the better striking.

Round Two

They trade body kicks and circle around the middle of the ring before exchanging with neither man landing anything significant. STIFF jab from Horodecki and he gets another low kick, following it with a good knee inside. They clinch in the corner with Horodecki pushing Lamotte in close, working inside with some knees to the thighs. They get separated to the center of the ring and another NASTY leg kick lands for Horodecki. Lamotte rushes Horodecki and gets a solid takedown against the ropes, into Horodecki's full guard. Lamotte working hard to the body and scoring with a couple of hammerfists to the head as Horodecki tries to control the arms and body of Lamotte. A flurry of hammerfists land for Lamotte and he starts landing hard to the body before Horodecki kicks him away and gets back to his feet. Overhand right and a HARD knee to the head land for Horodecki and he sprawls out of a takedown attempt, trying to win back the round. They separate to the center of the ring and Horodecki throws a combination, JUST missing with a high kick. Sweet punch/kick combo lands for Horodecki to the body and he scores another combination to the face, landing some knees in the clinch as Lamotte pulls guard to end the round. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Horodecki as he did enough to take back the round with the combinations at the end of the round.

Round Three

They circle and fake before both throw combinations that miss. Another HARD leg kick from Horodecki and he pushes forward with another combination. Straight kick from Lamotte misses and he JUST misses with a spinning back fist. Shawn Tompkins in Horodecki's corner tells him that the overhand right is open while they circle and Horodecki lands a body kick. Another leg kick lans for Horodecki as Lamotte comes forward with a combination that lands. Horodecki responds with a STIFF jab and a combination of his own. HARD leg kick from Horodecki and they circle in the center of the ring before clinching against the ropes. Lamotte tries to rush forward but Horodecki shoves him away and lands another low kick. Lamotte shoots in for a double-leg and they trade knees from the clinch before Horodecki sprawls out, ending up giving up the takedown because his arm got tangled in the ropes. Lamotte works from the top with some ground and pound, scoring a flurry of punches to the body and head as Horodecki tries to push him away again and land some strikes from the bottom. Horodecki is almost entirely out of the ring and that's it for the third and final round. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Lamotte and the fight 29-28 for Horodecki.

The scorecards are in and the decision has been made. All three judges have the bout 29-28 for the winner...

Winner: Chris Horodecki, Unanimous Decision

The crowd doesn't seem terribly impressed with that decision as we see the fight stats showing that Horodecki connected on 77% of his strikes, against only 54% for Lamotte. Andrew Falzon is in the ring with Horodecki and he says that he was looking for the KO but couldn't get it. Horodecki says that he kind of pulled himself into the takedown and feels like he's getting a little better at the ground game. He hears the booing and says that last he heard he thought it was a fight. Not sure what that means, but it earns him PLENTY of extra boos.

Match Two: Lightweights (Midwest Combat vs. Gracie Academy)
Bart Palaszewski (28-10, 8-3 IFL) vs. Jim Miller (10-1, 0-0 IFL)

Palaszewski has lost two fights in a row, which is certainly out of the ordinary for a man who hasn't lost back to back fights since starting his career out 0-4. He's an IFL original who has been around from the beginning and is trying to work his way back into the title hunt in the Lightweight division. Miller is an East Coast veteran who is making his IFL debut and jumping directly into the fire by facing Palaszewski. Miller's only loss in his MMA career comes at the hands of UFC veteran, Frank Edgar. Miller says that he brings a fast pace to his fights and that he's looking to finish from the first minute to the last. Palaszewski says that he brings fireworks whether it's on the mat or standing and throwing.

Round One

They circle to start the fight and Palaszewski throws quick combinations that miss to start. Palaszewski lands a good jab but Miller ducks under and takes him down, moving to the half-guard. He has a keylock on Palaszewski's arm but has to let it go and tries to pass the guard instead. Miller with some strikes from the top and he passes to side control, looking for an anaconda choke on Palaszewski. This could be the beginning of the end and Palaszewski looked like he was going to tap for a moment before he gives a thumbs-up, gets to his feet and SLAMS Miller to the canvas!! WOW!! They're back to their feet and Palaszewski throws a combination that just misses as Miller responds with a good jab. A one-two lands for Palaszewski and Miller shoots in for another takedown, missing it and ending up in the clinch. They trade knees and Miller gets another single-leg takedown, trying to pass out of the half-guard. Palaszewski has a front facelock but has to let it go as Miller starts pummeling away with punches as the bell sounds. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Miller, with the DEEP submission attempt and the two takedowns.

Round Two

Palaszewski comes out throwing a combination and landing a solid leg kick. They circle and exchange combos with nothing landing as Miller fires a leg kick of his own. Palaszewski comes up WAY short with a left hook before sprawling out of a deep takedown attempt by Miller. Miller doggedly holds onto the single-leg and pushes forward, getting the takedown and moving to side control against the ropes. Palaszewski has the front facelock again and Miller tries for the mount but ends up moved back into the half-guard. Miller postures up and throws a couple of right hands, following that up with a flurry of them. Miller looks for the anaconda choke again and TWISTS PALASZEWSKI AROUND INTO THE MOUNT!! Great move from Miller and he lands some punches before Palaszewski sweeps him and ends up on top in the half-guard. Miller gets it to the full guard and throws up a bit of a rubber guard before Palasewski backs out of it and gets back to his feet. High kick from Palaszewski misses and he shoots in for a single-leg but Miller has GREAT balance and defends it, getting a takedown of his own to end the round. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Miller due to the takedowns and the great move into the mount.

Round Three

They circle to start the third and Palaszewski lands a good right hand right out of the gate. Miller with a good right hook that glances off of Palaszewski's chin before he tries for a single-leg takedown again, pushing Palaszewski against the corner pad. Miller takes Palaszewski's back standing and rolls him down to the mat, trying for the rear naked choke. Palaszewski is trying to push off of the corner pad but stops that and continues to defend against the rear naked choke. Miller with hammerfists to the head and Palaszewski rolls again to try to avoid them, being forced to continue defending the choke. Miller scores some punches under he armpit of Palaszewski as he strikes over his head to respond, catching Miller in the face. Miller tries for the choke again and it looks like he has it this time. Palaszewski tries to break it and fights one of Miller's arms free and BREAKS OUT OF IT!!! Miller goes right back to it and Palaszewski throws more strikes over his head before exploding out of the guard and getting back to his feet. Palaszewski sprawls away from a takedown and lands a flying knee, throwing a pair of high kicks that miss as the round comes to a close. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Miller and the fight 30-27 for Miller.

Winner: Jim Miller, Unanimous Decision

The fight stats show an advantage in striking for Palaszewski, but in takedowns and submissions for Miller and he gets the nod with the unanimous decision. Rutten figures that Miller was pressing and getting the takedowns and that it was more than enough to get the win. That makes it 1-0 for Gracie Academy if you're scoring at home.

Match Three: Welterweights (Midwest Combat vs. Gracie Academy)
Brad Blackburn (11-9-1, 1 NC, 3-2, 1 NC IFL) vs. Delson Heleno (13-4, 5-2 IFL)

Blackburn is consistently inconsistent as he can just never put together a solid string of fights, scoring two separate three-fight winning streaks in his career, but also suffering through four losses in a row. Heleno is going to be testing out his leg in his first fight after having to succumb to an injury before the second round of the Welterweight Title fight with Hieron. He favors armbars over all other submissions and will probably try to get this fight to the ground to avoid Blackburn's punching power. Blackburn thinks that he's a better wrestler and striker than Heleno, but that Heleno's jiu-jitsu is as good as it gets. Heleno's coach, Renzo Gracie, thinks that Heleno has everything it takes to get the fight to the ground and get the submission.

Round One

They touch gloves and Blackburn comes out with some jabs, trying to gauge his distance. A combination misses from Blackburn but he gets a nice inside leg kick to land. Heleno tries for a takedown but ends up reaching as Blackburn gets a good right hand. Heleno gets the takedown off of it, moving into the half-guard and controlling Blackburn's head from the top. No striking as Heleno tries to pass the guard but he can't do it and postures up, backing away from Blackburn before shooting again for another takedown, getting the fight back to the mat in the full guard. Blackburn controls the head and body of Heleno as Heleno lands a glancing right hand. Another couple right hands from Heleno as he stands to break the guard, and Blackburn tries to throw some up-kicks. Heleno throws a NASTY haymaker that misses and Blackburn tries for a triangle on the bottom, but gives up the position and Heleno ends up on top in side control. Blackburn gets it back to the half-guard and throws a couple of strikes from the bottom as HELENO THROWS A FLYING PUNCH OVER THE GUARD AT THE BELL!! NICE!! 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Heleno due to the takedowns and superior positioning.

Round Two

Heleno throws a body punch that misses and then backs away as Blackburn throws a combination and they move back to circle. Another combination from Blackburn misses but he hits a good leg kick before doubling up on the jab. Heleno looks like he's trying to time the punches to duck under for another takedown but he can't get it down just yet. Blackburn continues to throw the jab to keep him at distance, but Heleno shoots in and gets the takedown, grounding and pounding on Blackburn with rights and lefts from the half-guard. The action slows a little and Heleno works the body a little with his right hand, trying to pass to side control or full mount, deciding on full mount with two minutes left in the round. Heleno gets the hooks under Blackburn's thighs and lands a good left hand before Blackburn gets it back to half-guard and then full guard. RAPID-FIRE right hands from Heleno in the full guard and he's punishing Blackburn with some hard punches. He postures up and JUST misses with a couple of haymaker rights before he LANDS a haymaker. SMACK!! Heleno goes back down into the half-guard and throws a few more right hands before standing up and throwing ANOTHER haymaker that lands. Blackburn grabs a front facelock but Heleno pops his head out as the bell sounds. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Heleno due to the ownage factor. That and the haymakers. Good CHRIST those looked like they hurt.

Round Three

They touch gloves to start the third and then circle before Heleno hits a good right hook and JUSSSSSSST misses a high kick. Heleno shoots in and tries for a takedown but Blackburn defends it well and they're back to standing and striking. Heleno throws a combination and shoots in but Blackburn defends it again. The commentators think that Blackburn needs something spectacular to happen and I agree as he gets TAGGED by a right hook from Heleno. High kick from Blackburn misses and Heleno does a little dancing before trying a takedown and Blackburn stuffs it and CRACKS HELENO ON THE TEMPLE!! HELENO IS OUT!!! HOLY SHIT!!

Winner: Brad Blackburn, KO at 1:50 of Round Three

Renzo Gracie looks on in disbelief and quite frankly, so do I. That was insane. The ONLY way that Blackburn could have won it and he pulled it out. Heleno is devastated in his corner and this puts the score in the camp vs. camp fights at 1-1.

Match Four: IFL Light Heavyweight Championship (Midwest Combat vs. Gracie Academy)
Jamal Patterson (4-1, 4-1 IFL) vs. Vladimir Matyushenko (c) (20-3, 5-0 IFL)

Patterson will look to pull the upset in his hometown, trying to use the cheers from his fellow New Jersians to give him an extra boost. He'll need it against Matyushenko, a UFC veteran, who hasn't lost since 2003 and is riding a seven-fight winning streak. This one will probably take place primarily on the mat, with Matyushenko's penchant for wrestling and takedowns, and Patterson's focus on submissions, with all of his victories coming via tapout. Interesting note as all of Patterson's professional experience comes from his IFL fights. Matyushenko says that there is pressure to defend the belt, but he loves it. He doesn't think it's going to be an easy fight because Patterson is very well-rounded. Patterson respects Matyushenko and he feels like Vladdy's time might be in the past and it could be PATTERSON TIME!! We're set for FIVE, four-minute rounds in this IFL Light Heavyweight Title Bout!!!

Round One

Matyushenko starts out with a leg kick and gets POPPED with a big left hook and looks stunned as Patterson moves into a clinch in the corner. The referee separates them back into the center of the ring and Matyushenko misses a straight kick but lands a good leg kick. Another leg kick from Matyushenko and he looks to be fully recovered. Matyushenko JUST misses eating another big left hand and Patterson holds onto the left leg of Matyushenko and lands a SHIT-TON of right hands and uppercuts. Matyushenko moves to clinch and presses Patterson into the corner, drawing another break from the referee. Patterson just misses an uppercut but ends up landing another solid punch and they circle a little. Matyushenko with a solid jab and he lands a front kick and a solid low kick before ducking under Patterson's combination. Patterson misses a combination and they move to a clinch and Patterson has a TIGHT guillotine choke in on Matyushenko but he POPS HIS HEAD OUT!! Matyushenko posturing up and he lands a couple of shots to the body and a hard left to the head as the round ends. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Patterson due to the striking and the submission attempt. Here's hoping he didn't blow his wad on that guillotine.

Round Two

Patterson with a jab and Matyushenko just misses with a big overhand right. Body kick from Matyushenko lands and Patterson grabs the guillotine again but it's not there and Matyushenko is on top, pounding away from the half-guard. Hammerfists and HARD right hands land for Matyushenko and he's got Patterson in trouble, landing some lefts as well. He traps one of Patterson's arms and slows for a moment before landing another ton of right hands and Patterson can only cover up and try to defend. Matyushenko locks up Patterson's right arm above his head and starts to work the body and face before letting it go to rest for a moment. Patterson is already welted up on the side of his face and Matyushenko takes over, HAMMERING away to the head and body of Patterson. He continues with a ton of rights and lefts and Matyushenko tries to crossface along the throat with his forearm before throwing more right hands. Patterson has done nothing but lay and take abuse and Matyushenko gets FOUR HUGE RIGHT HANDS AND THAT'S IT!!! IT"S ALL OVER!!

Winner: Vladimir Matyushenko, TKO at 3:35 of Round Two

Patterson's face looks ROUGH. He's welted all across his face and cheeks and has a NASTY shiner under his right eye. Bas Rutten is in the ring with Vladimir Matyushenko and V-Mat says that it was the plan to let Patterson take over the first round and let him feel like he could do some things before he took the fight back from him. He thinks that Patterson lost it mentally and that he just got tired and gave it up.

Match Six: IFL Featherweight Championship
Shad Lierley (2-1, 2-1 IFL) vs. Wagnney Fabiano (c) (9-1, 5-0 IFL)

Fabiano looks to remain undefeated in the IFL and defend his newly won title against Lierley, who is making his debut at featherweight, a division that most feel he is better suited for. Fabiano is five-for-five in his IFL fights, submitting all of his opponents, with only one making it out of the first round. Lierley has yet to fight since his showcase fight in June of last year, a three-round, Fight of the Year candidate against Chris Horodecki, and will be looking to use his striking early and often to stop the Fabiano freight train.

Round One

They touch gloves and circle to start the round and Fabiano throws an uppercut combination before hitting a good leg kick. A stiff jab knocks Lierley off-balance and he knocks Lierley down with a low kick. Fabiano comes forward with a HUGE RIGHT HOOK AND DOWN GOES LIERLEY!!! HE'S OUT COLD!!! JEEEEEE-ZUS!!

Winner: Wagnney Fabiano, KO at ):37 of Round One

Bas Rutten is in the ring with the IFL Featherweight Champion, Wagnney Fabiano and Rutten talks about his background before asking him where that punch came from. Renzo Gracie says that he saw in training that Fabiano dropped two guys with that punch and he told him to fake the shot and throw that overhand right hook. Gracie says that his boxing and wrestling are world-class and his jiu-jitsu is even beyond that. Fabiano thanks the IFL for giving him the opportunity and Gracie says that he's the champ and that says it all.

Match Seven: IFL Welterweight Championship
Mark Miller (8-2, 2-1 IFL) vs. Jay Hieron (c) (14-4-1, 6-2 IFL)

Hieron makes his first defense of his IFL Welterweight crown and does it against Miller, who is coming off a nearly year-long layoff. Hieron trains with Randy Couture and already had a solid wrestling background, but has added more skills to his wrestling and athleticism, becoming one of the most well-rounded fighters in the IFL. Miller is known primarily as a striker and will be trying to sprawl and brawl his way to victory. Both fighters have won two in a row and this looks to be a fight that will go into the later rounds and test both men's gas tanks. Hieron thinks that he fights better when the pressure is on and has prepared well for this fight. Miller thinks Hieron is a great fighter and well-rounded and hasn't made much of a gameplan because he didn't want to limit himself. Hieron says that he prepares to go into every fight, expecting to get his hand raised at the end of it.

Round One

Hieron has Shawn Tompkins, Chris Horodecki, AND Randy Couture...is THAT any good? Miller flashes out a jab and Hieron hits a good overhand right, taking Miller down to the mat immediately. Hieron with some short punches that land and he postures up for a big right hand. More short punches to the body and he lands another couple of rights to the face from the full guard. Hieron continues to posture up and land with the right, loading up on it and marking up Miller's face. He presses Miller up against the ropes and switches over to the left with some rapid-fire punches, overwhelming Miller from the top. Hieron with more rights and lefts and he's landing a TON of punches and the referee is looking close at this one and HE STOPS IT!! JAY HIERON WITH THE TKO!!!

Winner: Jay Hieron, TKO at 2:10 of Round One

He's with Bas Rutten and he says that his gameplan was to do whatever he wanted to do because he trains with everything. He didn't want to limit himself and he says that he took a page out of Randy Couture's book by posturing up and punching. Bas asks if Hieron respected Miller's punching power, but Hieron says that he trained for every position and he felt like he was flowing like water for the whole fight. Bas asks Randy what he thought and Randy says that it was a perfect performance and that his posture and punches were oustanding. Jay thanks his friends and family and then dedicates the fight to his wife. AWWWWW, what a softie. He also pimps his after-party in New York City. Now there's a place to have an after-party, I tell ya.

BONUS FIGHTS!!!!!

Match Eight: Welterweights (American Top Team vs. Miletich Fighting Systems)
Emyr Bussade (10-5, 0-0 IFL) vs. Jesse Lennox (6-0, 0-0 IFL)

Two debuting fighters in the IFL rings square off as these two appear to be beneficiaries of the IFL's new camp vs. camp format. Bussade is 2-3 in his last five fights and will be coming into this fight with a size advantage as he's fought as high as 205 pounds previously in his career. Lennox is a fighter who has made his name on the smaller shows of the Midwest and has knockout power as well as submission skills on the mat. Look for Lennox to keep this fight standing to try to avoid being caught in the jiu-jitsu fighter Bussade's submissions.

Round One

A bit of a slow start as they circle a few seconds before Lennox hits a solid punch and they move to the clinch in the corner. Foot stomps from Lennox and he hits a knee up the middle to the body. Another HARD foot stomp lands and he hits another knee to the body. Bussade tries to pull guard and gets the fight to the ground, trying for a leg lock but Lennox escapes out of it and the fight is back to its feet. Lennox gets it back to the clinch and lands a glancing knee to the head as they clinch near the ropes. A WILD exchange and they both land some solid shots with Lennox getting an uppercut in the dirty boxing clinch and the fight ends up on the ground again as Bussade tries for the leg once more. Lennox tries to strike but he can't do it and he has to scramble to get away and they're back to trading combinations against the ropes before they move to a clinch. Lennox gets a SOLID knee to the head in the corner and another to the body to end the round. 411mania.com scores the round 10-9 for Lennox, with the better striking and the control of the ring being key.

Round Two

Bussade gets a good right but Lennox gets an even better combination, nearly knocking Bussade down with a leg kick. They go back to winging combinations and Lennox continues to have the better of it. Lennox presses forward with more combinations, as Bussade pulls guard and gets the fight back down to the mat. Lennox hammering away from the full guard, posturing up with some rights as Bussade tries for the leg lock one more time. LENNOX SCREAMS IN PAIN AND TAPS OUT!!! KNEEBAR SUBMISSION!! Have fun taking that leg home with you Emyr, you deserve it.

Winner: Emyr Bussade, Submission (kneebar) at 1:25 of Round Two

Brad Blackburn is in the back and he's been awarded Fight of the Night honors, saying that he managed to pull it off by keeping the fight standing and swinging away in the third. He felt a little nervous with Heleno on top of him for the first two rounds, but he felt like he did a good job of keeping himself out of situations where he could be finished. He feels like he saved his energy for the third round and he was able to pull it out, saying that he was told by the IFL that if he won the fight he'd get a title shot, and now he's curious if he'll actually get it.

Match Nine: Light Heavyweights (American Top Team vs. Miletich Fighting Systems)
Carmelo Marrero (7-2, 0-0 IFL) vs. Mike Ciesnolevicz (13-3, 5-3 IFL)

Marrero is a UFC veteran who actually holds a win over current UFC Heavyweight semi-star, Cheick Kongo. After two straight losses in the UFC he won his last fight, at a WCO show in November of last year, and he looks to keep that momentum rolling on in this fight. Ciesnolevicz is an IFL veteran, and 4-1 in his last five fights. The only loss came in his last fight, a highlight reel KO courtesy of the knee of Andre Gusmao. Ciesnolevicz should look to stand and bang with Marrero, who can be drawn into that kind of fight despite not having the best stand-up skills.

Round One

Ciesnolevicz throws a high kick and gets taken down by Marrero out of the clinch, and Marrero has a TON of blood coming from the top of his head, as he tries for a guillotine from the half-guard. He must have caught something on the way down and he has to let go of the guillotine choke as Marrero bleeds all over Ciesnolevicz from the half-guard. Marrero with some right hands and the referee stops the fight so Marrero can get the cut checked out. He has bled a LOT in a very, very short period of time. The doctor is stepping in and stopping the fight. Marrero is CRUSHED and looks incredulous. Ciesnolevicz comes over to apologize, covered in Marrero's blood and Marrero mugs to the camera, mouthing the words "I'm okay" over and over. He heads out of the ring almost immediately after that but comes back in for the official decision. Correction! It is not a victory for Ciesnolevicz. The fight is declared a No Contest by the NJSAC.

Winner: No Contest

Ron Kruck pimps the next edition of the IFL, set for the Mohegan Sun in Connecticut on May 16, and they run through the highlights of the night's action before it's time to say goodnight everyone. Godspeed and party on, WHOOOOOOOOP!
