  • Heavyweight Bout: Mustapha Al-Turk (6-3) vs. Cheick Kongo (22-4-1dr):

ROUND ONE: The official is Steve Mazzagatti. They come out, Kongo with a jab and Al-Turk slips. They circle, leg kick caught by Kongo, takes Al-Turk down and leg kicks by a standing Kongo. Al-Turk back up, shoots and to the cage they go. They roll around the cage, Kong with under hooks, a good knee as he continues to stop the takedown. Knees by Al-Turk, rights by Kongo as he tries to stay up. Al-Turk tries a single leg, elbows by Kongo now to the head and then knees follow. Kongo turns him, works more knees and then Kongo gets warned for grabbing the shorts. Al-Turk then throws a low blow, and we get time. Kongo takes his time, takes a knee and he is hurting. Mazzagatti asks if he is ready, and we're back to action. 2-minutes left as they circle, Al-Turk misses a huge right and then a leg kick by Kongo. Al-Turk shoots, to the cage, Kongo stays up, turns him and lands a knee. Kongo now throws a low knee, and we have time again. Mazzagatti asks Kongo is it was an accident. Al-Turk now takes his time, and we're back to action as Mazzagatti says to keep it clean. Right by Kongo, rocks Al-Turk and he is down. Kongo pounces in, rights, elbows and Kongo is just all over Al-Turk and he is cut open. SICK hammer fists by Kongo, elbows, more hammer fists and IT IS ALL OVER! Al-Turk is a bloody mess, and that should have been stopped about 10-strikes sooner.

THE RESULT: Cheick Kongo via RD1 (4:37) TKO

Joe Rogan is with Cheick Kongo. He thanks Rogan for his kind words, and talks about his new team and great training he is receiving. Kongo is committed to be the best. He also hopes to be in line for a title shot.

  • Light Heavyweight Bout: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (28-7) vs. Wanderlei Silva (32-8-1dr-1nc):

ROUND ONE: The official is Yves Lavigne. No touching gloves for these guys. Here we go, they come out, Rampage presses, they throw and both connect. Jab by Rampage, combo by Silva. Leg kick by Silva, combo by Rampage. Good right by Silva, leg kick by Rampage. Overhand right by Silva, a leg kick follows. Jab by Rampage, the crowd is electric. Rampage circles, shoots, but is stuffed. They circle, jab by Rampage, leg kick by Silva. Combo by Silva grazes Rampage. Leg kick by Silva, a jab follows and Rampage catches the leg, but Silva escapes the takedown. Jabs by Rampage, another and ten Rampage catches Silva with a combo, DROPS HIM! He follows in but Silva is OUT COLD!

Silva is still down, the left hook caught Silva on the button.

THE RESULT: Quinton "Rampage" Jackson via RD1 (3:21) KO

Joe Rogan is with Rampage. Rampage praises God, and says that the last time he fought Silva, it was all wrong. Rampage is now back and he isn't going anywhere. Changing camps was the best thing he has ever done, and thanks his family for letting him go overseas to train. He puts over his boxing coach, and then says it is up to the UFC as to when he gets a title shot. He is still getting all of his stuff together right now.

-Silva was out of the cage during the interview, I assume he has been taken backstage to be checked out.

-We get video packages for UFC 93, 94, and Fight Night in February.

    -Forrest and Rashad prepare backstage.

-And now a match from the prelims…

  • Heavyweight Bout: Pat Barry vs. Dan Evensen:

ROUND ONE: They come out, circle and they clinch and Evensen falls to the ground off of a slip. Back up, leg kick by Barry, they clinch to the cage and struggle for position. They get separated, leg kicks by both and they thy both throw a bit wild. To the ground they go, Barry on top and into the guard. Barry stands up and out as Evensen looked for a sloppy triangle. Hard leg kicks by Barry, and Evensen falls to the ground and it is stopped as he cannot continue. His knee may have blown out, that sucks. His leg gave out in nasty fashion as we see the replay. Nasty.

THE RESULT: Pat Barry via RD1 (2:36) TKO

Joe Rogan is with Pat Barry. He says this win is better than Christmas. They go through the replay.

-We get a video package for CB Dollaway vs. Mike Massenzio.

-Massenzio's left leg is heavily wrapped up, and he also appears to be limping. That may not be a good thing for him.

  • Middleweight Bout: CB Dollaway (8-2) vs. Mike Massenzio (11-2):

ROUND ONE: The official is Yves Lavigne. And here we go, they touch and CB misses a leg kick. Jab by CB, body kick follows and then a knee. Another knee as they clinch, they separate and Massenzio misses a combo. Good left hook by Massenzio, rocks CB, he is down, and Massenzio in, gets the guillotine and is looks to be deep. CB slips out now, and is into the guard. CB works him to the cage, works some light body shots and Massenzio almost had a triangle, CB escapes to side control, but now back to guard. CB postures up, passed guard and works for mount. He gets full mount, gets a great elbow, Massenzio rolls, CB flattens him out as he has his back and just beats the shit out of him for the stoppage. A bit early if you ask me.

THE RESULT: CB Dollaway via RD1 (3:01) TKO

Joe Rogan is with CB Dollaway. Dollaway says he wasn't sure he was rocked, and that he doesn't remember the guillotine. He just worked to escape, and was also surprised when he got his back so easily.

    -Another prelim fight…

ROUND ONE: Joined in progress as both men exchange, and Mazzagatti is the official. Hamill looks for the overhand right, misses and Andy with some great combos to gain control. Jab by Hamill, but a body shot by Andy. Hamill is cut open from those great combos by Andy earlier. The cut is under the eye though, so he is safe for now. Hamill stuffs a shot by Andy, jabs by Hamill but Andy back with good jabs. Andy working both levels with punches, Hamill misses with a combo but keeps walking forward. Leg kick and a right by Andy, combo and a jab by Hamill. Hamill keeps dropping his hands, a leg kick by Andy trips up Hamill. Hamill with a good combo, leg kick by Andy and the round is over.

SCORECARD:: Hamill kept pressing, but never did much. Pot shots and such. Andy connected well and did more damage, a close round, but I go 10-9 for Andy.

ROUND TWO: Andy has a small mouse under his left eye. They come out quick and exchange, leg kick by Andy but not a hard one. Both guys look to be tired here. Jabs from both, Hamill presses the action as he did in the first round. They clinch, Hamill lands good shots to the head and then a great knee. Andy escapes the clinch, but Hamill with a good body shot. Andy looks exhausted here as he backs off and Hamill keeps working the body. Andy to a knee, Hamill with lefts to the head. Rights now, lefts again and Andy is not defending himself at all. Hamill gets his back, side mount and as he continues to drop left hands it is finally stopped.

THE RESULT: Matt Hamill via RD2 (2:19) TKO

Joe Rogan is with Matt Hamill. Hamill says his striking is improving, but the first round was horrible. He turned it on in the second round, and Rogan agrees. He thanks all of his camp for their help. Hamill says he has the heart and he is back.

-We get discussion of Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir.

-Brock Lesnar joins the announce team, and says he is not the real champion is, yet. Brock loves having the belt and is happy that he beat Couture, but he still doesn't think that he is the champion. He wants a rematch with Mir.

-Brock leaves and Rogan discusses Brock's secluded lifestyle, and also that he thinks Brock is the real champion.

-We get a video package for Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira vs. Frank Mir..

  • UFC Interim Heavyweight Title Bout: Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira © (31-4-1dr-1nc) vs. Frank Mir (11-3):

ROUND ONE: The official is Herb Dean. And here we go! Nogueira is ready to go as they have to keep backing him up. They come out, high kick checked by Nogueira. Another knee, they separate and both land leg kicks. Great jab by Nogueira, Mir smiles and comes back with a combo. Very good combo by Nogueira, backs of Mir and Mir DROPS Nogueira with a combo as the round ends!

SCORECARD:: Mir dominated the round and looked awesome. With the two knockdowns, control and what he landed, I go 10-8 for Mir.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins and a body kick for Mir lands. Jab by Nogueira, combo again by Mir and he controls early. Mir gets another combo, they both land jabs and then another by Nogueira. Leg kick by Nogueira, Mir looks for an uppercut again, misses and then a leg kick by Nogueira. Jabs by Nogueira, two great lefts by Mir and Nogueira is down! Mir pounces in and THE FIGHT IS STOPPED!

THE RESULT: And NEW INTERIM HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Frank Mir via RD2 (1:54) TKO

Joe Rogan is with Mir. Mir is emotional and Rogan says he had the most amazing performance of his career. He had to face a lot after the wreck, and to face the greatest heavyweight ever, people say you cannot do shit, but he proved it. Even he didn't think he would win, he would have bet for Nog. Mir continues to put over Nog and he didn't think it would end before the 5th round. He was afraid and he faced the monster tonight. He beat Nog, Lesnar beat Couture, but now he sees if Brock can make it out of the first round. Mir then promises to make Lesnar famous.

-Rogan and Goldberg discuss Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans.

-We now get a video package for Forrest Griffin vs. Rashad Evans.

-Griffin won the text poll 70% to 30%.

  • UFC Light Heavyweight Title Bout: Forrest Griffin © (16-4) vs. Rashad Evans (17-0-1):

ROUND ONE: The official is Steve Mazzagatti. And here we go. They circle, Evans uses his speed as they stay away for now. Combo to the body by Griffin, partially blocked and then Evans checks a leg kick. Leg kick by Evans lands, and then another by Griffin. Evans checks the high kick, they throw wildly, Griffin still pushing the pace and then a jab and hook by Evans. A right by Griffin, misses the leg kick but then lands the body kick. That hurt Evans. Evans switches stances as the round ends.

SCORECARD:: Griffin did great work with the leg and body kicks and hurt Evans. He controlled the round easily, and I have it for Griffin 10-9.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins and Evans dances as Griffin pushes the pace. Evans slips, back up and then a leg kick by Griffin. Double jab by Griffin, Evans back with a jab as well. Another jab and then the leg kick by Griffin. Jab by Evans, but Griffin with the right and then leg kick. Jab and a leg kick by Griffin, he then lands a good right on top of that. Leg kick and right hook combo by Griffin, another leg kick and Evans lands a jab. Double jabs lands for Evans, but more leg kicks by Griffin. Leg kick by Evans, but east another by Griffin. The left eye of Evans appears to be swelling a bit. Leg kick by Griffin, but a huge right connects for Evans. Leg kick by Evans, counters some jabs and then gets a jab. Griffin with a right again, and then back to the leg kick. A flurry by Evans connects, but he eats another leg kick and then a combo to end the round.

SCORECARD:: Griffin controlled things again with the reach advantage and kicks. Evans got more involved, but not enough to take the round. I have it 20-18 for Griffin.

ROUND THREE: We go to round three and a double jab by Evans. Leg kick by Griffin, and then a combo and high kick by Griffin grazes Evans. Evans catches a body kick, takes Griffin down, he unloads on him with a ton of rights and lefts and hammer fists, but Griffin gets him into the full guard. Evans postures up, and then drops back down. Half guard now as Evans gets in some fine strikes. Great elbows by Evans, he went for side control, but back to full guard. Good right by Evans to the face of Griffin, more rights by Evans and he starts to unload once again and IT IS ALL OVER!!!!!!!! Griffin may have been tapping there, we see the replay and he was trying to tap.

THE RESULT: And NEW LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION Rashad Evans via RD3 (2:46) TKO

Joe Rogan is with Rashad Evans. Evans says it sounds great to be the champion. Griffin gave him all he could handle in round one and two, and he needed to get warmed up. Evans says he had to work everything, and we see the end of the fight.

Griffin says he was flailing and not tapping, but he was beat. He will go to the hospital and then get back into the gym. He says he was hurt as he went into the guard, which you could see by his lazy guard. He remembers waking up, not being hurt. "It sucks." Griffin and Rashad hug. Griffin was classy in defeat.

    -And another prelim fight…

  • Heavyweight Bout: Antoni Hardonk vs. Mike Wessel:

ROUND ONE: They come out throwing right away. Hardonk is down, Wessel into his guard and Hardonk controls. He gets an arm bar, Wessel backs out, and escapes. Combo by Hardonk, big knees connect and he is rocking Wessel. Great clinch by Hardonk here. They trade, but Hardonk lands cleaner shots. Wessel shoots, tries the double leg, to the single leg, gets Hardonk down and into the guard they go. Hardonk works for a triangle, Wessel escapes that and into the guard. Wessel doesn't do much, some short elbows now and then Hardonk looks again for a triangle. Wessel passes, to mount but the round ends.

SCORECARD:: Fun round, but Hardonk dominated and clearly hurt Wessel. I have it 10-9 for Hardonk.

ROUND TWO: Round two begins and Wessel gets a takedown. He works in the guard of Hardonk, Hardonk holds him close to close the gap, rolls out and sweeps into the side control. Hardonk gets his back, hooks in, flattens Wessel out and lands good rights and lefts. Hardonk lays on his back, Wessel is offering nothing as Yves warns Hardonk about strikes to the back of the head. Hardonk into the mount, lands big punches on Wessel, gets his back again, more punches and that is all.

THE RESULT: Antoni Hardonk via RD2 (2:09) TKO

Joe Rogan is with Antoni Hardonk. He says he knows more than just kicks. They go through the replay and show the great sweep that eventually led to the finish.

Wow, I picked all three big fights wrong.Lot of surprises tonight.

I hope Lesnar runs through that cocky bitch Mir.He's learned a lot of defense in the time since their first fight.I don't think Mir will catch him again.

I like Forrest, but I knew he wasn't man enough to hold the title long. Rashad's good, until Anderson Silva comes up to 205.

Hopefully we can now see couture & nog get it on, unfortunatelty in about a year due to randy's movies.

make Lesnar famous? haha Brock is more famous than Mir every will be, who is he kidding? lol

Posted By: xtopnotchx (Guest)  on December 28, 2008 at 08:42 AM

Uhh, what mir means by making lesnar famous is that tim sylvia's star skyrocketed after mir broke his arm, because people thought it was awesome he didn't tap out. Hence why mir said he'll break something on him and make him famous.
Also, to everybody talking about silva moving up and taking the title...pay attention class. He has already stated that he doesn't want to go for the title because he believes it already belongs to lyoto machida...his training partner.
    Thanks for listening.

Lesnar Vs Mir II for the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship at UFC 100.

    No brainer.

about 23 mins of actual fighting. not worth $44.95, plus Mir vs NOG was stopped way to early

Posted By: BigAl6a (Guest)  on December 28, 2008 at 04:35 PM

This goes out to some MMA fans and you know if you're one of them. Where are all Bitch Ass MMA fans who said that Lesnar disgraced MMA by riding cowboy on Herring before the match was over? Why aren't they saying anything about Rashad Evans grabbing his balls and telling Forrest to suck his dick during their fight? Isn't that direspecting the sport as well? Ya'll some Fake Ass Fans!

Posted By: NastyRud (Guest)  on December 28, 2008 at 04:48 PM

WWE star is the future of MMA and UFC, so deal with it! He can disgrace whoever he wants-because he has the fists to back it up! Go ask Heath Herring, Randy Couture, and even Frank Mir(who was a bloody mess 10 seconds into their fight). Next match will go down like this: Brock pummels Mir into another bloody mess-no biased referee to save Mir this time around-and your new Undisputed, Unified UFC champ will be Brock. The mega match will be Fedor vs Brock if they can get Fedor into the UFC. Even Fedor and his camp already challenged Brock Lesnar because they know who the man to beat really is. Then, I will pick Fedor, but it def wont be by KO, he will have to work in a submission.

Kimbo Slice could have put up a much better fight than Nog did. Dana should let Kimbo come into UFC, just for ppv buyrates alone.

Brock is gonna destroy Mir and get the win back now! I can't wait.

Posted By: Guest#4033 (Guest)  on December 28, 2008 at 07:51 PM

Good fights - Silva and Nogueira are great champions but what you saw on this PPV is fighters getting old really fast, due to the wars they've fought. They've both still got something left in the tank but the accumulation of punishment is ending their status as true championship contenders, same as Hughes, Liddell and Couture.

Evans might be the most unspectacular undefeated champion ever, but all that cat does is win: decisively (Liddell), ugly (Bisping) or otherwise.

Quick aside: guys should stop applying their pro-wrestling criteria to real fights, whether it be boxing, MMA or whatever. It's ridiculous.

I am a huge pro wrestling fan, but I am really getting tired of the stupid wrestling fans going on this board and acting like Brock was robbed in his first fight with Mir and that there was some bias. Look you morons Brock is still green, he lost that fight to a more experienced submission specialist! In fact I would say Mir will probably beat him again for the same reasons. In fact in the fight with Couture what Brock did was get a lucky shot in the back of Randy's head and he laid on his chest and hit him with small shots to the face-not that impressive, but a win none the less. Please, just like the TNA fans who bitch that you can't give an opinion on Impact without watching it-WATCH THE FIGHTS! You might learn something.

"about 23 mins of actual fighting. not worth $44.95, plus Mir vs NOG was stopped way to early"

No way was this stopped early. Nog was defeated, and handily so by Mir. Watch the fight again when Nog tries to get up after the stoppage. Nog is still on dream street. It was a good stoppage.

Two words for Wand Boxing( or Muay Thai) Camp. Seriously he needs to brush up he was doing fine until that wild and very sloppy combo. Yeah I'd say a ticket to Fairtex should be in Wand's future.
